Tommy885
It will not be broken, it is probably just a glitch. Also you are not on the latest firmware which can be obtained here: http://forum.netduma.com/topic/9124-major-router-upgrade-now-available-v-1035/?hl=1.03.

A7Legit
How does one brick the Netduma R1 anyway? I've owned this router for almost 13 months, flashed the firmware since the very first version that came with the router, flashed to 1.03.4 and beta tested 1.03.5 and the beta .5f-m variants and never encountered an issue... I'm just wondering.
Tommy885
Who knows lol i have had it once it looks like he was on wifi when he did the update maybe he dropped a packet here or there but i am sure he will fix it
A7Legit
Rule of thumb should be to never flash anything over a wifi connection, you're better off not upgrading instead.
Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted January 2, 2016 Netduma Staff Share Posted January 2, 2016 I think the router checks the update has been received in full before flashing to it - like most things do before updating to them. Is it possible that you unchecked preserve settings when upgrading?

Is it possible that you unchecked preserve settings when upgrading? Thats exactly what i was thinking crossy as I read through the posts, if so the wifi password has defaulted to netdumar1

J8Y50N
Followed these steps. Plugged in Port 2 on Netduma and into USB 2.0 Ethernet adapter into Acer laptop opened search engine Google Chrome types in URL 192.168.88.1.1 and page still fails to load or find Netduma. What am I missing
Zennon
Have you installed the driver for the USB Ethernet adapter? It should be in port one (POE) Do you mean you have typed it in to the address bar? as the google search bar is wrong.
J8Y50N
Oops I'm really sorry.. how do I install driver for USB Ethernet adapter on This Acer laptop?
Zennon
When you plugged in the device did you get a installing new device driver pop up from the tool bar near the time area of windows? If not does the device come with a CD with the driver? If the first question applies and it did install from the device itself, can you now access from the big long address bar (not the small search bar) using port one (POE) Ethernet. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 2, 2016 Administrators Share Posted January 2, 2016 Oops I'm really sorry.. how do I install driver for USB Ethernet adapter on This Acer laptop? You should go to the maker of the ethernet adapters website to check for a downloadable driver. Also I note you said you put in the URL bar 192.168.88.1.1, is that correct? As it needs to be 192.168.1.1 if you are following the link above with it isolated.
