I was using the internet and it just randomly went off. ISP says everything is good on their end. I've unplugged it about 10 times. Is my router shot? It won't let me log into via my phone either. I have an R2 btw. Any help would be great.

@Zippy Hey bud, So I went ahead and ordered a surfboard modem and have had 2 days now. Things have actually stabilized nicely! Thank you for your advice bro. Appreciate it! My base ping has actually dropped from the low 20's to mid teens and ping under load has stabilized! Also I am getting more down'oad speeds with this modem as well. I used to get 275 ish now is around 360. Thnaks again!

I've been on these speeds for a while Fraser. So everything has been the same on my end. Thats why I am saying this just started a month ago. I used to get close to my regular ping test with my ping test under load. I would get A+'s across the board or A's at least. Thats why I am thinking maybe my modem might be on its last leg. My ping has always been very stable. I always used to check it on pingplotter before you guys put the new connection benchmark on the software. When I talked to the Spectrum on the phone the lady was saying that my modem is old and its not made for the speeds I have now.

Hey Zippy, Thanks for the reply and the info. I'm not super keen on these types of things so I like when ppl educate me on what is good and what isn't. So the Docsis 3.1 is worth the money your saying? Because those modems are spendy. The tp link 7610 was cheap and it has been good all way up to this point. I think its overloaded with my connection speeds exceeding its capabilities. Out of curiosity what is your ping stats? Are they good with the Arris? Assuming they are or you wouldn't recommend it. Also, I did a factory reset already. I just updated the R2 when i got the modem and I was on the old software. Thanks again!

Here's my issue lately. Like the last month or so I have been having issues with my ping under load. I'm wondering if my modem is getting old. I have the tp link7610 and I bought it in 2017 I believe. I had speeds right around 200 dn and 11 up back then with spectrum. Now they have upgraded me and I have 300+ same upload. I own the R2 and bought a different modem the Motorola MB7621 and hooked it up and I was having packet loss and couldn't get the thing to work right. So I called spectrum and said I'm gonna put the old modem back. My question is do you think its my modem? Its only rated for 150 mg and the fact it might be getting old. If so anyone with spectrum what modem are you using? I'm looking at the Netgear CM500. Wondering if it works with duma R2. It says its compatible with any router. Any insight would be great. Spectrum is a fairly big company nationwide and I'm sure there are a lot folks that can add their 2 cents in. Thanks in advance, cheers! I used to A's across the board for these tests so thats why I'm wondering. I wish Modbox was still around. He was the one that put me on the tplink 7610. That thing has been a champ and it lowered my ping when I got it!

Like Fraser was saying its congestion and peak times your connection will fluctuate. Your connection looks good for the most part. Your jitter is awesome at .11. Mine is like a 2 sometimes a 1. You could try messing with the download slider in qos and run the tests again and see if that makes a difference. But more than likely you are in area that has the same internet company and they are using it at the same time which causes these issues. Good luck!

I'm finally gonna buy a PS5 cause they are becoming more available at normal price. With that said I need some logical advice on what monitor to buy. I've always had good luck with the benQ monitors with the ps4's I own. With all the new upgrades in fps and picture quality I want to make sure I'm buying the right one for the price. I want to get the cheapest best monitor for the price and it has to be a 1ms response. I will settle for nothing less. Can yall post your advice and comments. Appreciate it and thank you! -basically I want response time over picture. -Also the only game I really play and have the time to play is COD, just an fyi

Lol, yeah I was watchin the game and was like wth, smh. Put the game on mute mid 2nd quarter and we end up pulling off the unthinkable. What a crazy year! Yeah I'm still with spectrum. There is nothing better where I live. I want fiber but where I live it isn't in my area. The servers are different for different times of the day I will agree with that. However Warzone is completely different since they don't use all of the ones mp does. I'll keep investigating thanks for chiming in. Hope all is well!

Yeah definitely for warzone it does. The lowest I've had was like 25ms then on in game ping it would read high 50's but have spikes up to like 77ms. All the other servers other than the one here (which is Illinios) I'm close to 50ms and then in game says I'm at high 90's and sometimes will spike to over 100. So I really don't have a choice. I feel like the servers have gotten worse over the years. When they first came out with dedi's it was during WW2. I remember cause I dropped my first nuke then. These last few cods I can't even play multiplayer anymore as I just get destroyed. I used to be decent at mp with like a 1.6-1.7 kd and warzone I've never been any good cause I'm very hindered by connection I feel. It is what it is I guess. Hey Netduma fam, got a quick question for everyone. So the ping that the geo filter says I'm on 30ms and then when you look at in game ping it's like 40ms + higher. Why is that? I get into some lobbies and it feels like dudes are a second ahead of me. I know a lot vids are popping up now saying this game is rigged and I have no doubt this is the case. I just want to further understand it. Thanks! -Also my connection benchmark test I get an A+

I agree with you 100% with this: I just kind of feel the Duma Team could have gave us all this data. I mean they can pull that raw data real quick and break it down step by step for a universal way for everyone to setup. This is the most popular game used by duma and gets their respective router sold. Amen to you brother!

Go back on there and do it again. Start at like 90 and work your way down until you line is as flat as can be. I bring a notepad and write down my numbers let it go for like 5 mins and move my slider again until I find the best setting. Depending on your upload speed I wouldn't go past probably 60. I have 10 upload and I have mine at 60. Like mine is set at 52 down/ 60 up. Also make sure your pinging something fairly close to you like a news station or something in your state. Hope this helps you out!

I don't want to sound like a whining impatient ass like the rest of the population Fraser and I know you guys hit roadblaocks in testing (my wife is in coding btw which is a bunch of mumbo jumbo to me so I get it that it takes time to perfect things. She is always fixing and rewriting software). Just maybe send out something. We are in beta. Which means we are testing as well, I guess the fact the way this game plays just aggrevates the hell out me. I know a lot is server related..When the R1 first came out it legitimately changed how the game played. It ran smoothly connection wise and made me feel like I was on a level playing field. The way it plays now it doesn't anymore. So I feel like duma has falling behind the times in a sense. So in a sense I'm pushing for yall to push something out soon please! crisp connection is paramount! Once again a loyal customer since day one!

When are you guys going to update OS? The year is already half over and lord knows when we received the last update with ping assist. I keep hearing we have exciting things coming but nothing to show for it. Eventually I'm going to have to break down and buy a XR500. But I really don't want to buy one if you guys are going to update the shit one every year. Netgear will take another year to sit around the table and talk about nothing and then they'll update it. My point is this current game that I play and the only fkn game I play or care about is cod. Anything yall can do to make this game play better would be phenomenal. Also just fixing the shit that is broken on OS would be phenomenal. I don't mean to be negative towards you guys. But geez you guys used to push out updates all of time on the old software and it usually performed well with the other cods. Any insight or non corporate bs would be great. I've been saying this for a while as well and asking them if they we're planning on making an R2. I guess the merge with netgear destroyed that, idk. I would rather stick with netduma since they will update it faster than netgear will.

I posted this a long time ago and Jack thought it was a good idea and he said he was going to bring it up to you guys. So here's my post and suggestion. Can we get this soon please?!! Duma needs a temp ban feature that actually works. How you work it is you'll have the option to ban for say like 1 hour or multiple hours or 24 hrs. I don;t know about anyone else but in bo4 I pretty much play on ping assist and connect to all of the servers around 30ms. But that doesn't mean its a good server cause low ping, obviously. So sometimes for say like chicago server is playing like crap but yesterday it played great. Well, 24 hr ban or whatever. Cod ww2 chicago for me played like absolute garbage. Unplayable always. So permanent ban then. This feature is so important that it should've been done yesterday!

Im having huge issues with the lag on BO3. Shooting first and not getting kills. I took strict mode off and ping assist is off. I also did the cloud update. It really seems far behind. I haven't played for awhile but when I used it for AW it always worked awesome. Any solutions? Thanks P.S. I also double checked my congestion control too its set at 84% for my ps4 and 5% for my other stuff divided by three.
