lefteris.lydios got a reaction from Vroomfondel1965 in GeoFilter = Easier lobbies
If you are on BO7 beta try even further. Pretoria server for example. Easy lobbies and highly populated .
Ignore the ping as it shows in Geofilter page. This is been bugged for years. 4 ms across a different continent is unreal.

I don't think there will be any major changes, we'll just need to test the game again if that happens to double check but it'll likely work right away

They certainly can if they want to do so
Thanks for the IDs, I'll pass them onto the team to look into and correct

It's not stupid, certainly an idea that seems obvious but in the EA user agreement it states "You may not reverse engineer or attempt to extract or otherwise use source code or other data from EA Services, unless expressly authorized by EA or permitted by law." So even if we were to consider it, legally that wouldn't be a good idea to do so.
Also the server browser just retrieves their server IPs and they know where those locations are of course and they will be retrieved from the server itself, something we can't do. The router can retrieve those IP addresses and that's how they appear on the map. IP databases (databases that identify the location that belongs to an IP address) can be quite inaccurate or at least slow to update (unless you own your own database/you're putting a lot of money into it) so that's why the locations for the IPs of the servers can sometimes be incorrectly located on the map. When we become aware of this we correct it and our own game server IP database becomes just a little bit more accurate. However, the issue is that they will sometimes bring in new servers that have different IPs etc and then the location becomes out of data for us again so its a bit of a constant tug of war trying to keep the locations up to date. For the most part the servers are shown correctly and we just need to do little updates to correct the ones that aren't.

I'm not a Network expert by any means. I am just a casual - weekend only - gamer. Maybe what I'm about to say will sound stupid, but why can't you guys just take advantage of the Browse Servers option in the game and reverse engineer it in order to pinpoint the server we are connected to? I did some testing and I joined the furthest server possible and magically Sydney server lit up in Geo Filter (probably correct) . BTW Oklahoma server was also lit but that's not a problem because I've already booked a flight to Oklahoma to C4 this god damn POS. My point is, use Browse Servers as a tool.

I also wrote on that topic, but it's not worth it. The Netduma team published a fake server announcement and they won't correct the mistake. The only two servers that exist for the game are Frankfurt and London in Europe, and you'll never be connected to a third one in Europe.

No worries I understand! Thanks for the screenshot, I'll ask them to double check

GF shows only 2 servers in Europe. Frankfurt and London. I can't see how this https://netduma.com/blog/battlefield-6-server-locations is accurate.

Hi.
Geofilter doesn’t seem to be working with this game.
I know it’s a bit early but I wanted to know if the team is working on it.
thx

Ha ha, I've been doing exactly the same thing, my geo filter allows Spain, Saudi and the east coast of America (I'm in the UK) and the experience is mostly more "relaxed" than using local servers. I don't know why the Spanish server seems to work for me ,it's the exception but yes 100 ms ping works for me 👍

Autoriser/refuser, se limite à un serveur.... sur une multitude de serveur avec des id différents sur la même localisation !

Le plus simple est d'utiliser la sélection personnalisé par pays !
Et mettre le ping à 0

We did have that with previous versions of DumaOS so presumably it would be simple enough to add it back in. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll pass it along to the team!

Sorry I'm new to this. Where do I get the files from? I'm already trying the free trial. I'm on my cell rn

Thank you brother. I'm going to try out for the expressVNP free trial now. Which vpn inside the neduma I should pick? Is there a video I could watch?

lefteris.lydios got a reaction from iOrcus in Hybrid VPN
Yes, but combined with geofencing away from my region. In short I trade higher ping for easier lobbies.
