Have you checked whether the packet loss is coming from the modem/ISP?
-
@fae7787I believe it about 20-25 or so concurrently by that I mean they have to be active all at the same time which is rare though if you have a big household then it a different story so that why I say it rare for most users to care about it unless they live on a household with a lot of users. To note you can keep your XR1000 and running it as AP and have the R2 be the main to take advantage of software features but your not taking advantage of the hardware of the XR1000 which is the downside just the range of the wifi + speeds are kept intact Another thing I forgot to note is that the R2 is limited on Wifi to 250-300mbs though hardwired it no different than the XR1000
-
@fae7787 You would lose the range of wifi + plus hardware capabilities such as amount of devices being able to be connected to the network though for most users that isn't an issue You would in theory gain the latest updates which sometimes other routers supported don't get for a while Warranty is a year https://netduma.com/terms/ I am sure it is though not anytime soon maybe 2025 or 2026 would be my guess since docsis 4.0 isn't out there just yet there realistically isn't any need for it till then though it should be way superior than the R2 in hardware and be better though out on paper since it gives them time to add better software before porting it to the R3 and innovating upon the better hardware I am not affiliated this is just my own thoughts and experience with the products

@JagraWhat the model of your modem? Though it should be pretty self explanatory on the R2 should be the one with the blue color the one that says ethernet I would suggest looking at your manual for better instructions. One crucial step is to have your modem off and turn it one after the R2 is fully running this is do to your modem maybe not refreshing the IP so forth..:
-
@JagraIs your modem on when your connecting the R2? How are you accessing the OS?
-
@Frosty uchihaIf your experiencing packet loss is that because you have low bandwidth? If not it maybe your ISP I would suggest looking at your modem logs which in most cases do show if there are issues going on such as too many uncorrectables

There's no need if you use upnp it ports the ports automatically but if you want you can look up the ports for the mobile version then add them for each column though realistically there's no benefit except maybe some security and the unrealistic part is that you can only set those ports for one device which makes it useless if you need it for other devices.

@ownal0tThe games don't crash do to third party software on console that just activision especially if it coming from infinity ward the best team in the world (SARCASM) with they're horrible optimization it the same thing when you try to invite a player in MW2 on the PS5 the game crashes completely majority of the time the bug has been there since day 1 was never fixed so keep giving them your wallet till you feel like your a fool π It not the only game your able to replicate crashes but a core function that is commonly used should be fixed ASAP it'll probably take them a full year for the game to be stable if they even put any focus into that is but knowing how warzone is there main focus good luck on that end.... https://www.reddit.com/r/CODWarzone/comments/113b74o/cod_mw2_season_2_ps5_consistent_crashing_after/

Connection but no internet
DARKNESS replied to Bluegixer1's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
@Bluegixer1Though are you able to access the interference and so forth? -
Connection but no internet
DARKNESS replied to Bluegixer1's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
@Bluegixer1If it acting up do a hard reset rebooting may not always fix the issues -
@marc.netdumaYou can also use connection benchmark to find the optimal cc settings though for it to be applied you need to set it to always when performing the benchmarks. To add the most important part is the ping under load if it spikes too often than that your issue try to minimize that as most as you can and you should see better hit detection.

Problems with new Nighthawk 1000 Xr
DARKNESS replied to Furious's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
@FuriousShould be on advanced settings the option on the bottom VLAN/BRIDGE also you might need another router to handle ppoe if you use that sort of protocol as of currently there not capable of handling it properly just a heads up since it been a complaint for ages. -
Problems with new Nighthawk 1000 Xr
DARKNESS replied to Furious's topic in NETGEAR Nighthawk Support (XR range)
@FuriousIf your upgrading from firmware's it best to hard reset and as for the interference it will initially take 5-10 seconds to load that just the design of the UI it also best to use incognito when accessing the interference as it to not save cache and cause issues etc as for the buffer bloat the XR models have not gotten the DPI update so it not going to prioritize to it best of it abilities currently. Though you should be able to get some results using connection benchmark if you can't get accurate results using buffer bloat site.... The XR1000V2 is somewhat inferior plus it missing some features currently so not worth it till the update gets released in my opinion not major difference there just some components slightly changed. -
Issue with Instagram Access on DumaOS - Netduma R2
DARKNESS replied to Milesmauralis's topic in Netduma R2 Support
I would try hard resetting and/resync cloud on device manager and see if that solves the issue -
xbox party chat cross platform not working?
DARKNESS replied to Cajun72's topic in Netduma R2 Support
@Cajun72Well you need to find out whether it the mic or the game causing the issue not an xbox guy so you need to figure out how to monitor your audio -
@marc.netdumaIf your using a wireless connection to get internet on the XR1000 why would you be surprised that your not getting your full speeds? It common sense they'll be signal interference and it would need to be hardwired to get stable speeds.
-
@FigoMost likely because you have added ports when it unnecessary just use upnp on console

xbox party chat cross platform not working?
DARKNESS replied to Cajun72's topic in Netduma R2 Support
@Cajun72What am asking is if you hear your mic audio back when your monitoring voice? Have you tried other games or is it Fortnite specifically that your having the issueβ¦. -
xbox party chat cross platform not working?
DARKNESS replied to Cajun72's topic in Netduma R2 Support
@Cajun72So can you communicate with people on your own platform? Might be your mic are you checking whether it outputting/monitoring mic audio? -
@nowngamerWell the DPI should be working fine though that because I am a beta tester which have the latest features though I don't know if they've updated it for the netgear routers currently since for my XR1000 it not though I would recommend manually adding it as a games console under traffic prioritization and that should be about it...
-
@nowngamerTraffic prioritization is the best way to prioritize your device just set your console as priority there and it should be negated from any loss of packets unless it coming from the line etc

@KingzzyI've tried holding the reset button while powering on that doesn't work done it like 10 times in different ways to have the same thing occur might be the fact the XR1000 isn't designed to be tffp unless they have a secret sequence which there not telling anyone about π To add the light is orange at the start on the XR1000 is the XR500 white or something?
