What your doing is called boosting mate which is considered cheating
-
@WillemtheKillaYeah they do play against you though it not always going to appear on the map and you make it sounds as if some users don't play with high ping when there clueless😂
-
@WillemtheKillaThat not the case bud that just showing peer connections
-
@WillemtheKillaIt either placebo or SBMM don't know how people enjoy that sweating there nuts each match but each to there own 😂

@LocosanoMouse and keyboard is superior by all means personally I rather have no aim assist since it pulls your aim to the wrong spot when targeting several players though there are certain users who prefer it so there that it all about preference and the type of game your playing cod is majority dominated by controller if am correct. Though the real cheesy part is that there are users who abuse the system by tricking the system to think there using a different device like a controller when in fact there using a mouse and keyboard. I personally consider that cheating I don't give a crap what anyone says when your not using the system the way it was designed only exceptions is if your disabled or it something doesn't work for your device and you need to modify it using external software.

Geofencing Issues with Rainbow Six: Siege
DARKNESS replied to CrashGames's topic in Netduma R2 Support
There really isn't you either play without it or get disconnected till you find a match or increase your radius as i said before...cod is different as the servers allow to be denied before your put into a match so it keeps queque till it finds a reasonable ping though this only works in certain games -

@AylinkaI believe he's off today and they only got one person running the forums from the company so you'll have to wait till then I guess... -
Geofencing Issues with Rainbow Six: Siege
DARKNESS replied to CrashGames's topic in Netduma R2 Support
I mean that literally how it works bud if it connecting you to an outside server and it kicking you it working the way it should since it outside your radius it does the same thing in different games you just have to figure out whether your able to find low ping servers trying several times or increase your radius based on the fact the games forcing you to play on higher ping do to sbmm and the only thing you can do is try to mitigate the higher ping servers by figuring out the servers that your able to connect and have low ping. An example is APEX LEGENDS once you get to diamond and above your either forced to play on EU or NA WEST/CENTRAL so that means anyone on the east get screwed over.... -
That just placebo or the game being broken the way aim assist works for controller is when you move your character while aiming the stick it pulls you towards the player somewhat it not aimbot it an assist so if you are not precise with your aim then that your problem.Though knowing activision tactics it can just be the simple fact there manipulating your matches to an extent.

Issues with r2 not saving on powercycle or updating firmware
DARKNESS replied to Aylinka's topic in Netduma R2 Support
@AylinkaIf your using Firefox as I can see somewhat you can use the link below which explains the instructions https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/https-only-prefs the reason for this is that it just how the UI was designed and so it has some issues with certain stuff enabled so forth like saving cache on a browser and forcing HTTPS when it not necessary on a network that your accessing. I am not part of the netduma team am just hear to assist -

@AylinkaHave you tried disabling https and or use incognito when accessing the interference? -
Netduma - Auto Detect speed

@Netduma FraserTrue indeed though would it be possible in the future to add multiple different benchmark services for convenience? Just a thought not necessary... -
Netduma - Auto Detect speed
DARKNESS replied to Jeofel08's topic in Feature Ideas & Improvements for DumaOS
@Netduma FraserActually after some thoughts I think it would be a beneficial feature to make it more convenient for users however I think using a site like https://www.waveform.com/tools/bufferbloat and add that to the ping optimizer would help a lot more to stabilize networks so users don't have to involve themselves with things they don't understand too much and solve there network problems. -
@scbbaAs @Fuzystated to add you won't necessarily feel it if your using your internet for streaming content so forth but anything to do with VOIP communication is were it noticeable so if you want to the most responsive experience with gaming your always going to need sqm in some sort of way
-
The modem is just the receiver for the signal it doesn’t do much more than that the more channels the better since it means less congestion but there always buffer though if your running 500mbps it shouldn’t really impact you too much though it always best to use qos to reduce the buffer when gaming since other devices may impact it and manually prioritize the device so it not impacted though not necessary that just my personal opinion.

Is QoS needed if you have enough bandwidth ?
DARKNESS replied to unknownid's topic in Netduma R2 Support
@unknownidYou can probably get it to a better spot with no buffer especially using GIG internet realistically as long as your above 500mbs you won't notice much of a difference and if you need full speeds just disable it temporarily to download stuff quicker This is mines for example but that just for my own network https://www.waveform.com/tools/bufferbloat?test-id=ceb88ca2-699b-43dc-adcc-48882533835e -
@Adrian ElmazI would recommend using incognito when accessing the interference since it cache sensitive and may cause errors to add the footage you sent isn't format supported so it isn't clear what your doing...I advise using the mac recorder it just a lot clearer to see and all you have to do is attach the file For the geofilter you may need to re sync or delete and re add it
-
@unknownidJust set it up as console should work if I recollect correctly
-
@BKxLounge Are you sure the star link is properly setup to have open field of view because any interference and it pretty much loses internet so it needs to be under the right conditions. When you do lose internet do you have internet on the star link without rebooting the system?
-
@AlixUpload is more crucial for like VOIP services if you can get 100mbs and 20 upload that the sweet spot though it is without a doubt extremely rare unless your in a country with fiber speeds and don't have to spend a fortune to get higher uploads than 40 😂

@STROXS88VPN's are a thing for a reason there used for anonymity there not necessarily used for hacking that just a side effect that comes with it there's bad and good people out there that just how the world works buddy 😂

netduma r3 Netduma R3
DARKNESS replied to HANDSOME KING's topic in Feature Ideas & Improvements for DumaOS
@Netduma FraserThis is just an advice for the next generation R3 design since I noticed that on the R2 it enclosed except in the bottom and therefore there isn't much ventilation unless it kept upside down and some users have had complaints do to were they live and temperatures affect there performance. So I'd recommend a design were there's airflow on the sides, back and top since most users just use the router the way it was design to be placed which is typically sitting down. I know in certain areas this is going to be an issue regardless though it can be somewhat mitigated with better a designs for ventilation- 61 replies

@STROXS88 I would use a network analyzer to figure out whether it other channels causing interference in your area and change them if necessary since that can be affecting your wifi speeds. I would also recommend playing over Ethernet to get the most optimal experience it'll cut your latency by half in most cases over wifi. Any router can have over heating issues though I do have to admit there was a design flaw on the Netduma R2 which was the casing were there no ventilation unless it upside down though this isn't the only product in the world that has made mistakes. If it an issue for you do to your local area I'd recommend getting a small fan and installing it below the router in order to prevent over heating crashes. Just giving some advice brother

@fae7787You can use anything really as long as it has the capabilities of becoming an access point it all good though you'll need to have them hardwired preferably if not it pretty much pointless since you'll never get the full speeds. It more intricate and you'll need professional installment or take your sweet time hard-wiring and installing everything yourself since if it a household you'll need to be able to have proper poe network lines. In short it not cheap procedure and is a bit more complicated if you want them to be around a big house
