Deasha reacted to Christian2112 in QOS Brakes my hitreg in the new WZ/BO6
I had QOS Enabled since WZ1 and it felt awesome - now 100s of games in the new integration and something felt off
switching of QOS for 2 days now and it is a complete gamechanger for me
try it for yourself

Deasha reacted to x12Tyler in Bye bye R3
I love my r3 but I’m not going to lie that something is seriously wrong with it and the hit detections. Some days I get decent hit detection then others just plain poopy. The last weeks or so it’s been so dog poopy I’m losing the most unrealistic gun battles to the point I thought it was just my internet itself but I just switched back to my Asus gt ax11000 pro and I’m getting hit detection I could only dream about.

Deasha reacted to idvizual in Bye bye R3
Router definitely hit or miss on days one day ill be getting called a cheater other days "what happened your subsciption to your mods expired?' lmao! Its frustrating, a fix should be one thing at a time not 1 BIG list of fixes! Just want consistency thats all.. Rebooting everything 2-3 hours like the routers needs a refresh just to run smoothly for gaming..

Deasha reacted to DARKNESS in R3 Stuck on bootlop first time booting
@Netduma FraserAnother thing I decided to go further into the steady ping feature and expert doesn't seem to be working as it clearly just using the simple mode and ignoring the expert settings applied footage shown below.

Deasha reacted to Shminka in In 1 week it will be 2 months without any new firmware and there are so many bugs and problems still unresolved.
Today the R3 got replaced with my old netgear router. My family have been raging about wlan dropouts, high ping and stutter for too long now. Had hopes there would be a fix coming soon but it have been months. With the old router gameplay feels snappier and no need to reset router every day. R3 works great couple of hours after reebot but after that gameplay feels like its delayd, random wlan dropouts and cant open settings without reboot. From my view the R3 belongs in the box until an fix is rolled out. its not ready for day to day use. Still got hope for the R3 in the future doh cuz its a beast the few hours it works..

Deasha reacted to x12Tyler in It's been almost two months since the last update. When can we expect fixes for issues, we are all struggling with?
In the promotion videos the first one in particular it was saying or made it sound like only around 5ms would be added but it seems like on mine anyway it adds more even though I only fluctuate by 1-2ms. It don’t really seem to hurt I guess but it’s something I noticed. The only major issue I saw and it’s a weird one is with valorant, I did a lot of research and the issue is caused by internet somehow but it would take forever to load me into the games don’t ask me why but that never happened and still didn’t happen on my sons pc but just even loading into a 1v1 made it take 2-3 mins on mine and in game the connection felt super jittery and choppy compared to normal . Lucky for me I don’t play valorant anymore and was only going into a 1v1 cause my son thought he could beat me.

Deasha reacted to SamT98 in Bad gameplay have to restart router
As title says. Every 24 hours I have to keep restarting the router to get gameplay back in sync. If I don’t it’s like there’s a huge amount of input delay which is unplayable. What is causing this to happen exactly every 24 hours? I have looked at the logs and can’t find any clear information for an error which may have occurred during this period of time. I have also tried disabling steady ping etc. it’s nothing to do with adjusting the percentages in the ping optimiser settings because it does work for the 23 hours perfectly fine. Is there a setting for example that tells the router to do a hidden reboot every so often and that causes it to become out of sync?

Deasha reacted to Zli in NetdumaR3 Steady Ping (Expert)
Hello,in the next update, could you please make Steady ping start from 5ms when it is set manually (Expert), since now the minimum that can be set is 10ms? Thank you

Deasha reacted to TG3NOC1D3 in Xbox - Alternative port switches on its own
In a way it actually does make sense, smartboost it seems is port based for traffic, so if gaming traffic has a wide port range, it could be conflicting enough to make the xbox say, "Oh this port is taken, swapping to another door (port) to use." It's like 2 devices requesting but the router is acting as the device for some reason. Kinda wanna try to reproduce this with COD and an Xbox Game Pass PC title when my router gets here.

That doesn't make any sense really, I don't know why it would result in that behavior, I will pass it onto the team to try to reproduce. Thanks for the report!

No worries bro, I will be around more tomorrow evening since I will be moving tonight and tomorrow throughout the day. I will still monitor via mobile and see if I can get answers on my end from the Ambassador team.

@Netduma Fraser unfortunately it’s still happening when port forwarding with DMZ off. However this time I managed to get it working with UPNP on and console in DMZ

@TG3NOC1D3 I’m just about to head to work, but I’ll take a look tonight and get back to you

Deasha got a reaction from jonnyg56 in Xbox - Alternative port switches on its own
I’m on the R3 and haven’t been able to figure out any permanent solution either. Only thing that sometimes works for me is to swap the method I’m using. For example I was using port forwarding and then it switched to 55xxx so I turn on UPNP and disable port forward and it fixes. Same deal with DMZ, if I deactivate that and try another it can fix. It’s so hit and miss

Deasha reacted to Sleeb in Higher Base Ping
everyone's having this problem including me, ping is higher on every app, literally every game. it is definitely a netduma issue.
-
Deasha reacted to Netduma Fraser in SteadyPing issue
SteadyPing doesn't ping the server, that stabilizes the connection, it's just the normal ping function that pings, it's something we'll be improving, I believe we know a reason why it happens

Deasha got a reaction from SUPLUIS19 in Smartboost failing to recognize gaming priority
Weirdly enough I gave this a try and found my overall warzone game play smoother with more responsive hit reg compared to my old way of prioritizing gaming and my Xbox device as a pair in smart QOS
-
Deasha reacted to SUPLUIS19 in Smartboost failing to recognize gaming priority
Alright so I figured out something new to try bro you can definitely instead of just adding gaming as a priority just reserve bandwidth for your gaming instead I just did it right now and clicked on port for start and destination enter 65535 and when you get to the assign bandwidth part enter 20/20 for each slider then go to your congestion control settings and lower your sliders for download and upload to 50/50 or 100 down and 50 up I just played a game of Cod and dude I saw a massive change in my hit detection that literally felt extremely impossible give it a try and at the same time your console is prioritized without the hassle of having to add it under devices and always making sure it’s being prioritized the way I mentioned is more of a set it and forget it let me know if you need help setting it up the way I did it message me on here if you can

Deasha reacted to pyroass in NEtduma R3 Problems
I tryied already tune the smartboost but without success. if i play with my old router i don't have any fluctuations. and also the ping will be lower.

Deasha reacted to IREWolfman in Scan Devices on Network
Is it possible to add a feature like Fing. You can scan all devices on you network. It will show the correct name and logo for each device. Which you can then save. Name and Mac address linking? I know we have a simple name and file Saving system. But you could automatically link each device into a category for QOS. Maybe even a plugin with Fing?

Deasha reacted to x12Tyler in Doubtful that my Netduma router is working as supposed to
It’s not the servers that’s spiking though it’s caused by the r3 itself
