Erik reacted to Netduma Fraser in Steady Ping - Trovare il giusto setting
Definitely don't need to use expert then, if you get a better experience that way that's great!

Erik got a reaction from Netduma Fraser in server nell oceano

Erik got a reaction from Netduma Fraser in Where I Can Download 4.0.272 Firmware
I bought NETDUMA r3 yesterday and I can't wait to install it even though I have a 2.5 gb fiber optic connection. Can I be added to the beta testers for R3? Thanks Fraser 😉

I'll check in with the team about this to see if we can give you an IP to check at least.

Hop #5 & Hop #7, There's a ping spike 'worst'
Both of these Hops are not your ISP. Those Hops are outside your ISP control.
Your ISP control Hop #3, maybe also Hop#4
What matters is your ISP Hop and Last Hop, Which is dns.google.com ping 'worst' is 38. This is still technically good.
If it was 100ms+ on ALL HOPS. You could call the ISP and ask them to change route of your Internet to the server. BUT, this rarely ever happens. Because, they would also have to 'somewhat' doing it for other Internet users who use your ISP as well. I say, they WILL NOT do it for it. I quote someone else from another forum
Using VPN for someone did help. For example, in League of Legends, some users with my ISP had higher than normal ping to League of Legends servers, ONLY. It was due to the way my ISP was routing the traffic. NOT ALL users with my ISP were having this problem. Only a few.

Again, your ping is pretty good to dns.google.com / 8.8.8.8

Some game servers, especially CoD don't respond to traditional pings so you may get some of the route but it will start to fail before it gets to the server

Dovremmo fare un aggiornamento questa settimana

Erik reacted to Netduma Fraser in XR1000 in cascade to R2
I would suggest putting the XR in AP mode, then the R2 will be able to control all the devices as though they were connected directly to the R2
-
Erik reacted to Netduma Fraser in R2 IPV6
You have Early Access so try the firmware there and see if that resolves it for you
-
Erik reacted to Netduma Fraser in R2 IPV6
By cascade do you mean you've put the R2 in the AX DMZ as I can't see a specific cascade option on their manual
-
Erik reacted to cljackhammer in R2 IPV6
Yes. It will only work if the R2 supports IPv6 pass through. I don’t think that it does. I could be wrong, but the R2 doesn’t provide those types IPv6 configurations. It will work on the XR 500 since it allows you to configure IPv6 using pass through.

Erik reacted to TODDzillaInLA in Fix Server
i played all last night, and it got worst and worst like they tweeted it would. Have not played today, when i get off work hopefully its fixed but from the looks of what everyone is posting on twitter they are taking a bashing so im assuming its not to good. Big company or small take pride into what your doing. Sucks - after covid 2020 crazy how much trash people are putting out into the world

Erik reacted to Netduma Fraser in different bandwidth usage
Yes that is normal, as you may have seen us say many times gaming uses very little bandwidth but it really doesn't use much at all as you can see so nothing wrong there. Try forcing some different servers even if they're a bit further away and they may play better.

Erik got a reaction from Hydros85 in FIRMWARE: 3.3.308 Smart QoS (Hit Detection)
I would love to understand what caused this difference. it is true that the send rate sends the info of our player in action, but the difference is too much, and in my opinion this low send rate value creates problems in the hit reg

Okay thank you for checking, I'll have to look into why this may be happening

Erik reacted to Netduma Fraser in FIRMWARE: 3.3.308 Smart QoS (Hit Detection)
I'm not sure what you mean regarding #1. #2 we did remove a server from there recently, resync the cloud and see if it still appears, if it does then provide the ID for it and we can remove it. It shouldn't cause you an issue though like that I wouldn't have thought.

Erik reacted to Infoseye in FIRMWARE: 3.3.308 Smart QoS (Hit Detection)
I disabled SmartQoS still getting high receive rate, I would try version 1 see if it makes a difference.
