  1. Hello mate wanted to fully test qos before posting random potentially it's better potentially it's not. I can honestly say qos on with dumaos on and games console for my ps5 on is working wonders. Using the beta potentially has fixed qos or fttp however I got both around the same time so hard to tell. I set my speed higher to 350mb up and 70 down. That way when tested with never I will achieve my full line speed as discussed before as setting to never will still go by the line speed set. I then adjust the sliders to 280mb down and around 40mb up. When I do a test using the dumaos benchmark it still gives me bad readings for upload vs using dslreports Regardless of my line speed and qos settings. benchmark always gives me a bad upload reading around 100ms This happened on copper as well and on both beta and other firmware But regardless of those readings I've managed to get very good hit detection and a fair gun fight feel to cod
  2. Yes but I've beamed thousands of people and heard. He's cheating, now thousands of people will shout aim bot just because someone hit every shot and they felt like they got aim booted. Kill cam gave you the ability to see if he just got a beam with good recoil vs directly hitting every shot to centre chest or head
  3. When my speeds where like that I found qos fully disabled to be more reliable and better.
  4. But don't the server ports use 30k to 50k and data ports more around the 3074 443 and low end ports?
  5. I was thinking the same. Enjoy
  6. Just upgraded from old copper to fttp after they finally upgraded my area. I tried alot of stuff back in the day to fix the lag compensation. But honestly getting 14ms to the ACTUAL in game servers is pretty crazy. Will still try out qos and stuff but with everything off using fttp 300mb down 65up felt amazing tbh. Will be interesting to see if QOS works better with a faster line vs my old copper 30mb line as back then qos turned off was always better
  7. Is there a negative effect when over lapping? Ie leaving classified games on but also using my own 1-65535/30000-50000?
  8. Sorry if I sound stupid but why is it different to put the ports in separately. If I did 3074 source to 30000-50000 Doesn't this cover you? Or do you mean 2 ports are being prioritized because game data and actual server? I use source 1-65535 to 30000-50000
  9. Please don't come at me with false information statements. Im really sorry i was 4units out after not owning an xbox for 2 years almost. Getting people to look at a website made years ago is the false info. Internet has changed dramatically since then. With higher speeds more stable lines better infrastructure most if not all mtu values are set maxed to the type of broadband being provided ie pppoe 1492 for example. Changing mtu in my experience has done nothing some placebo games but the randomness of cod sbmm and everything else could have been anything. THE ONLY THEORY IS THIS. some broadband providers have routers with pre configured mtu values not changeable. Some 1458(older bt routers)1488(my plusnet router) and then some with max. The only thinking part to this is that everyone's varying mtu values will create an inconsistent gaming experience. But setting yours lower will mean your end is sending less data to the server. Remember most games now are server based. If I'm sending 1492 units of data to the server I'm telling the server more info at a time than you are. Another good way to tell would be the server tabs while playing games now. Simply put if your not getting packet loss then your data is not being effected in any way meaning no fragmentation caused by an mtu value set too high. I've never had an issue with 1500 when I had virgin media and the same with fttp pppoe 1492. This is a gimmick that people search up hoping for a cure and stumble across old webpages with info regarding extremely slow copper line with noise and interference on there line. I did it.
  10. He maybe harsh guys but he's right. After reading all of this I've had a massive thrown thinking wth lol. Mtu has zero yes zero impact on gaming YOUTUBE (battlenonsense) mtu. Also 750 is impossible period a message on the xbox network screen pop's up saying you must have a minimum mtu of so and so and from memory it's like 1380 or something. Look at his speed on the qos page he's on a really high speed fibre line with no other devices on it. He's going to have a good connection and low ping maybe not 5 but that's end game nonsense ping. Also don't want to say he hasn't set it up right but he's only traffic prioritising port 3074 which is game data not server based which are around 30000 to 40000 most of them. Scripts for vpn never heard of it not sure its real as I'm on xr500. Unless scripts are a fancy way of prioritising specific ports. In which case here everyone simple SBMM fix. Vpn - only vpn these ports - 100-5000tcp/udp one simple rule to fix it all. Stay on Brazil for a couple of days then Ghana then Singapore then wherever you want. No need for geo location local servers and surrounding servers are fine when vpning. £30 scripts not needed just change locations once in a while Thank me later
  11. Yeah I turned it off because the info from a post and I think what the hell if its on and its only a 50/50 chance making it better may as well run on ipv4 like everyone else lol...... I've just enabled it currently qos on 85% on both and bandwidth control ps5 capped at 1.5mb down and up. For me this is the biggest improvement in warzone capping your speed seems to get rid of the lag compensation/give you that advantage. I'll keep you posted on the ipv6
  12. I'll give ipv6 a go using the xr500 only used on sky router and was a known issue for increasing bufferbloat
  13. I have fixed my issue on warsone by simply capping my speed to 1.5mb up and down. Honestly feels so much better lol give it a try
  14. Whats the apply to wan for? Obviously it applies it to the wan but is that necessary?
  15. If you play warzone I have come up with my own prior. 1-65535 source 3074-65535 destination. Whatever lower ports are on must get in the way some how and stops bandwidth allocation from working
  16. I've found factory resets on beta do not fully reset so even if you see your speed and percentages you have put in re do it. Disable qos re enable it turn always on to never and then turn it back for some reason this has been my issue but the prioritising all ports seems to over ride it. Very interesting. If I put playstation 5 into prior and set it up with the pre installed game console option it works. So is a port bypassing all the congestion control settings 🤔
  17. So it does work it seems to have alot more up and down packets being prioritised than the duma games. However when prioritising all ports I've found you no long get congestion control and bandwidth allocation Will try the 30000 45000
  18. Just a quick question as I'm on xr500 what is the difference between prioritising all ports to a device like I'm on playstation 5 and was going to prioritise ports 1 to 65535. Won't that be enough?
  19. I still have ipv6 but its off and upnp is also off both I find make things worse
  20. I have tried ipv6 on my sky vdsl line and I can honestly say turning it off is better. I did see something on the sky forum a guy mentioned turning ipv6 off helped his gaming and bufferbloat and after trying it I agree. So I don't use ipv6 any more. As for inbound and outbound my sky firewall shows all outbound is open and inbound is blocked the port opens 3074 on xbox isn't that for inbound? Or am I confusing myself lol
  21. Yep sorry didn't realise there was 12 pages of convo I got put on the last page when I clicked on the thread and asked the question. I've read through and understand it now. Will be Interesting to try it out if you make it for the r2 ill give my feedback when it comes around
  22. This is so true I tried for a week to get a fair game went to wireless and it was more fair. I honestly wish they would get rid of lag compensation. I xan do everything on my end to get a good connection and then I load into a game and get destroyed by everyone. Turn everything off that's ment to make your connection better and what do you know its now more fair lol
  23. After posting I did go back and test some more just to be on the safe side and honestly for me the difference is tremendous like my game is unplayable when open hit detection is bad and I die instantly. I have another theory as to why it could be. When you look at the way open moderate and strict can connect you see open can connect to all, moderate can do moderate and open. and strict to open. So by having an open nat wouldn't that be increasing your chance to lobby up with people on strict nat types and that's why it feels like the hit reg is off. I know we are connecting to servers so I don't know if it works that way but again surely having a strict nat and trying to kill that person will slow down the process or even kick out packets of data you send to them making it feel like bad hit reg. For the chance and for that one reason I think this is why we are having a better experience on moderate. I'd probably also say most upnps are not working correctly to open up the ports I've seen loads of people on moderate and its not because they set it like that but its more because thats how the router came and they are not tech savvy to open the nat. Also if they have 2 consoles xbox takes 3074 and then there ps4/5 can't get that for warzone server and stuck on moderate as port 3074 is taken. As for mtu I'm still playing around with this, there's so much info out there to say no just leave it as it is it won't make a difference. But surely it does surely if I'm on 1500mtu and an xbox player is capped to 1480 fragmentation needs to happen in order for my packets to be processed and received? Whether that's on the peers end or the servers end as zippy says if servers are not running at 1500mtu but I'm sending packets of 1500 the server would also have to fragment packets or simply kick them out and that's where my bullets are going? I can say that changing my mtu from router and manually setting it up on the playstation seems to be worse. I'm using 1472 as most that aren't on 1500 would be on 1472 going by the 28mtu header thing. Keeping my router on 1500 and dropping my ps5 to 1472 seems to work better like the xbox being capped at 1480mtu there must be reason to that or for that and that tells me everyone is playing on different mtu values. Making it really hard to fully test and come up with a perfect this or that works but I will say 1472 has me going into gun fights sometimes feeling like I'm the sponge and he's a magnet to my bullets it feels great. (So many times I've gone to the gulag hit a guy with my shotgun chest to head and get a hit marker then he shoots back one shot to my kneecaps and takes me out). I had this in reverse yesterday playing on 1472mtu its not conclusive and it is testing but from now on my nat stays moderate p.s. I tried to force strict on my router by opening ports to a random ip that wasn't my ps so the ports where in use but it didn't work lol if you can force strict it would be interesting to see the outcome let me know. Sorry its a long one lol
  24. Sorry I'm new here and was just wondering what this is exactly? A quick breakdown?
  25. So glad it's not just me. Sometimes when you are trying to figure out what works better you can end up switching to and throw with settings. It always comes back to your thought process telling you "no, ports should be open because thats what everyone says and having an open nat is the way" hell the Activision website tells you to open your ports so that's got to be the way........ but clearly sometimes its not and again could it be lag compensation playing a role as nothing else makes logical sense as to why making your connection as good as can be results in you feelings a second behind everyone else
