So just done some speed tests and was returning 680mb most of the time. Got a 700mb once. That's with ipv6 turned off smartboost off. And speedtest put back to default 1gb up and down no sliders set congestion control disabled through smartboost being disabled. I won't care entirely in the end as wifi will be fine for those speeds. It reaches my rooms okay and that's the main concern but it would still be nice to reach more 900mb when I'm right beside it

Yes dmz works but this was just to let you know people getting moderate nat on cod and stuff is because upnp isn't opening 3074

Router is the dhcp. wan port is plugged into the openreach wall connector for fttp. Ipv6 is enabled as I saw a post regarding ipv6 is working properly. Haven't seen or recall dhcp identifiers and as I don't know what that is I wouldn't have touched it so it will be on default settings. And yes all devices are connected I have tried with disconnecting them all and still get very sporadic speed tests even wired I've now noticed. It's almost like the system isn't optimally running and creates times where the speed drops for no reason. But also really struggles to hit the max throughput with everything disabled

Yes. Otherwise another router that is capable wouldn't allow me to reach those speeds either. As the device would be the problem.

No problem can still try it when you get it maybe will have more firmware updates. Nothing against sending it back after. Don't want to rain on there parade but I'm struggling with it and the WiFi range is questionable tbh if this can't get any better I'm wondering why they made a new one. As all the features are the same my small test with ping stabilisation just added 10ms to games but they felt no better or worse

Mate I've done everything I can..... I'm also not stupid and know my way around the router. I input my speeds on the router back to 1gb from the 940mb I get from my isp and honestly struggling to get a ps5 speed test to read 900 plus. And speedtest.net on every possible close server to me and I can get 650mb one minute and 770 the next. The router seems very unstable so far. And I don't know of they can fix any of it with software when they tried to keep the price of hardware down....... I'd have paid 300 for a better box I paid 450 for the asus rog but unfortunately due to the geo filter on netduma was over kill and didn't do the one thing I wanted which was to pick the exact server I play on. Abit worried if fireware/software will even manage to make a difference and if it does how over clocked will the router be running

I'm having this exact issue thought it was time of day but its definitely the router through put. All disabled I.e. smartqos ping optimiser even though this shouldn't effect speed tests. I even set the speedtest back to 1gbps up and down so it's at full power........ I think this may be a tad too much for the hardware. Would have rather paid more for a premium product and software vs ehat may end up being returned. I've done many tests and also get anywhere from 600 to 800mb. As soon as I plug in my old xr500 I get 900 plus instantly

Yep so after I've disabled it from the drop down menu when I click on smart boost I get the screen showing smartboost is disabled enable now

Hello fraser the issue is upnp not opening port 3074 or any port when booting the game. I had this issue on the xr500 until the latest firmware. I've done multiple tests already and port udp 3074 won't open with upnp at least on mine it doesnt

Smartboost is disabled still get around 500

Speed test bypass is still active

The playstation speed test is to the playstation servers where upload is prioritiesed for people actually using the accounts. Message a friend on psn speedtest.net and use the ps5 Web browser to get a true ps5 reading of speeds

Hello got the r3 I have 900mb down and using WiFi can't get anywhere near 900 most it caps out at is 500. You said before in a previous reply those speeds would be reachable. I've separated the 2.5 and 5 channel set 5ghz to 160 but still can't get over 600 Any configurations that need to be done?

Mine has also just arrived today will be trying out uk servers with the buffer to see if I can get local but trick the lag comp lol

Yes mate. So I'm from the UK and geo filter Spain Italy..... France is okay but my ping to France is still around 9 to 12ms make sure your in game ping is visible and see what servers give you around 20ms...... you will still get the odd person who's ahead or on a pc basically but you will have a much better game if you have 20ms ping. You still have to do the work and aim hit your shots but I can almost guarantee you will shoot first kill first most people. Now I'm on a gig line and get low ping I'm tempted to try a USA server around 80ms and see if it's playable lol American servers are definitely more random and alot more casual to EU so statistically you will never get those bot lobbies the youtubers get from America Sweet spot should be around 20 to 40ms. Don't think this is an advantage this is to level the playing field. You will not be ahead or invincible still have to sit up and try but it will be fair and less rage inducing lol

Qos does very little if you have a couple hundred mb and a small house hold. If you have high speed and use qos and drop the speeds drastically a simple speed test will show your latency goes up. This will help lag compensation slightly but hinder your household speeds. I'd suggest everyone only use ping as an indication of your in game experience. Dropping speeds to 2mb for example will cause some packet loss these days as they seem to be too low even though games use very little. The sauce simply lies in the geo filter locational setup. Sbmm is very real and the server you are dropped into is actually part of it. If you have some bad games you will jump to Spain or France and be on 20ms ping. If your doing good you will get the most local server in my case uk 4 to 6ms ping.........this is absolutely he'll I'm at such a disadvantage it's hilarious. I set my geo to Spain Italy sit at 20ms ping and the game is great. I actually enjoy playing. I'm an snd player so shooting first and killing first is important otherwise I'm sitting there like a wet lettuce. I'm on 900mb down and 100mb up I do not mess with my speeds I only use ping to make sure the lobbies sbmm try to put me in doesn't happen. The uk server when I used to get connected to it I'd have the classic snd arguments and they was always from france spain Italy or the Netherlands And I'd get beat and the reason was simple they have a higher ping this gave them a time advantage because call of duty manipulates your game (they have stated this recently so we now all know it's real and there sbmm is real and it will mess you up) So to this day I have great games on snd mw3 HOWEVER the way my games are manipulated is HILARIOUS if you spent a day playing with me I'd show you. My kd is 2.34 and the balance to my team mates is making me get 24 26 kill games on snd and still lose because my team mates are dribbling on there controller. I also get into games where 3 of my team are instantly kicked and I believe sbmm is responsible I've messaged 3 people that left instantly just to ask and 2 said they got kicked 1 didn't reply. Then I'm 3 vs 6 for the rest of the game as my team doesn't fill. HOWEVER if the other team leave instantly there's people joining I believe its another balancing matchmaking system where my lobby is not prioritized for more players as the kd is TO THEM BALANCED

I've moved to talktalk 900mb down 100 up I get 940 down and 110 up they also use dhcp over pppoe meaning I can have the full 1500mtu vs 1492 on mtu although this doesn't effect anything some people get better peace of mind knowing your not on pppoe especially when some of the netgear routers with duma have struggled with pppoe Never had a drop never had a line fault never been traffic managed during peak times. The only only down side to talktalk is the eero router having a talktalk firmware installed which limits its use slightly but also end of contract leaves you with a stylish paper weight lol. But to include an actual decent router with great WiFi range is rare in the uk isp router market

I saw low ping king do a video on the r3 and when he went over vpn it wasn't available is there a day one firmware to install or was his just an earlier build than release?

Hmmmmm so maybe if lag compensation is also real I'm sure it is in some ways. Could this be tricking the server to give lag comp on a local server. Say uk is 5ms ping but if I add 20ms ping buffer I'd be on 25 this will be interesting to test thank you
