Gskillz got a reaction from Fire_Hawk59 in NEW R3 FIRMWARE - DumaOS 4.0.540
The update before, I had to downgrade, but this update (4.0.540) has improved my ping and my speeds, on call of duty I've been averaging 60 to 100 kills on multiplayer, it's hitting the mark and this is the best one so far after using it since it was released. Great job guys.

Gskillz got a reaction from Rodolfo Lima in Eliminating bufferbloat has changed gaming for me
If you have to use your internet provider router I would put it in bridge mode, then on the R3 put your ps5/xbox/pc in DMZ. I just returned my Fios router, and connected my R3 to my wall, then put my ps5 in DMZ on the R3 router. simple...FYI for those who have to use there internet provided router, if you don't put it in bridge mode, you might run into a higher NAT type.

@Netduma FraserThis new update has been working out for me- no restarts, connects to everything on WIFI, streaming services are running good, and gaming has been good.

Gskillz reacted to He4DHuNt3r_XIM in 3 out 4 ports only running at full speed. 1 port running slow on speed test
Is it the "Intel Ethernet Controller l225-V / l226-V" that you are using?
Those chip's are know for having issues like you are describing.
Try updating the driver to version 2.1.4.2 or newer, it should help.

I would have to wait until I do another factory reset to mimic the same situation. I'll keep you posted

Gskillz got a reaction from Disrek in When is the NEW Firmware that FINALLY FIXES ALL these issues!?
Some of yawl got to look up some YouTube video's because I haven't really experienced any issues, and if you are playing over WIFI, you should really give up gaming lol

Was reading through the replies and yes, you are right, that’s optimal. Even then, in particular cases, Wifi could be better, especially with the 2.4 connection (I get 100mbps on it or less, no tweaks matter, meanwhile 5ghz gets more than 700).Fraser has said they are going to improve, and I have seen others saying they have this specific issue too. But in general, don’t get me wrong, the R3 is really amazing (for me a heavy tinkerer) it’s almost flawless, and for it to be like this for me so early on, just means it can only get better from here 👍🏻

Gskillz reacted to Netduma Fraser in NEW R3 FIRMWARE 4.0.41
Hi all, thank you for all the feedback so far, it's really helpful, the team are working hard on fixes for the next update. I'm going to close this topic as it is really hard for me to effectively support so many different people in one topic. If you have any issues or questions please do make a new topic and I'll be able to support you there much better.

Just eyeballing it here. You need to lower your download and upload speeds some more. As you do this your Waveform test should improve until you achieve A+ with 0 latency on the download and upload.

@boothay Hey had the same issue, go to speed test, then click find my speed, after the R3 gets your speed, press set my speed to save, then go test your bufferbloat again and it should come up A+. Speeds can change from day to day, or at peak hours.

Encountering identical lobbies, where opponents seem almost bot-like, is a common experience. Yet, the noticeable improvement in ping clearly indicates the effectiveness of the R3. The true testament to its functionality is when opponents express frustration for being swiftly outplayed. For those contemplating a return of the R3, feel free to do so – I'll be awaiting you in the lobbies, ready for the challenge. 😄 If you're currently facing issues, exercise patience and anticipate the forthcoming updates. Such hiccups are par for the course when acquiring a product on its debut days.
