Lol nice to hear. All the new firmwares are not good theres always some issues with them thats why I never bother with them. @Aspect of Wrath with this firmware I been going crazy dropping 100+ kills in Black ops 6 games

Just downgraded to this firmware and had zero desync/shoot first die first moments in bo6, had a game where I went 33-1. With the new firmware games feel like you are 3 seconds behind, what is this firmware doing better than the new firmware when it come to latency?

I have not updated the router for awhile now, are we able to go below 50% on congestion control on this firmware?

You don't need to prioritize both - prioritizing on demand texture streaming essentially prioritizes a consistent download while playing and so it could result in a worse experience but as always experiment and find what works best for you

You don't need to if your bo6 settings is set to optimized instead of minimal from what I understand.

You obviously have to prioritize the game packages...Depending on your network activity on your Go line...the textures remain secondary unless you download heavy files.

Good question. I have call of duty series set as top priority. I did prioritize call of duty content, but then turned it off. It shows it as downloading with no issues. An official answer on this will definitely be appreciated though.

Do I have to prioritize call of duty content and how should I set on demand texture streaming for bo6? I have 910 speed download/upload.

Aspect of Wrath reacted to PharmDawgg in How are we feeling about BO6 Hit detection?
With SmartBoost enabled try prioritizing these activities. I would also prioritize your gaming device(s) as well if you ever decide to reenable.

The only thing to disable really in this scenario is SmartBOOST which can be done by clicking the  icon on the page > Settings > Toggle enabled

Hi ! As the changelog indicates there is a lot of improvement on this FW, so the decision is up to you, at worst you can always go back to FW.41!

Yes, as that would prioritise your packets properly. The above settings simply reduce bandwidth when gaming for games like call of duty where it improves hitreg. I personally found it makes a big difference for me.

Aspect of Wrath reacted to rounder in Bell advanced dmz need help
In order  to fix bell advanced dmz, after R3 start or restarts,  you just need to disable BELL DMZ , save, and then re-enable  again , then it works, yes, its weird but there it is. you do not  need to remove device or uncheck ADMZ box during this process.

I myself am using PPPOE which doesn't need this superduper advanced "technique" , you will need you bxxxxxxx user name and password which you can reset on bell cs pages if you dont know it , go to mybell, internet serviceb1xxxx profile and change password, you would need to re-enter it in your modem as well afterwards...

I had this issue with routers before R3 too....

Thats interesting.. Ive never heard of doing a static route before to get it to work.. Typically once one hooks the R3 to your hub the R3 would obtain an Ip address from the hub and then that is what you would put in your Advance DMZ of your hub..  The only thing that I can think as to why its not working is because of conflicting Ips.. Like your hub is using something possibly very similar to 192.168 ect ect..  When you look at the WAN Ip on the R3 what does it show?
This likely will be one for Fraser to help with! I assume you have already tried factory resetting the R3 to see if that helped?
Sorry I couldnt of been of more help..
    Thanks!
    Zippy.

Same firmware, multiple times. On 4.0.41.
Every time I was unable to access DumaOS I uploaded the same firmware and then factory reset, eventually ended up with one that doesn't require a reboot daily. Day 6 almost now.
If it doesn't let you reflash the same one,  downgrade and then upgrade before the factory reset. Seems to keep all settings on a downgrade.

You do not have to factory reset, just go to smartboost and under settings disable, wait 10 seconds and test network speeds, after speeds are back to normal enable smartboost again. The smartboost has a glich that has it degrading speeds overtime the longer it is on, just activate Smartboost when you are gaming.

No but it would be nice to have the game traffic prioritised. I will add to that list, thanks.
Also as an aside I was having issues connecting with other players but that was resolved with port forwarding as UPNP is not working for me.

Aspect of Wrath got a reaction from Netduma Fraser in Router stops working & no access to R3?
I believe everything that uses internet has to be connected to the R3 for the anti bufferbloat to work, also if your isp is a modem/router you have to put it in bridge mode or put R3 in your modem/routers DMZ. You do not want double nat on R3, games will lag and ports will not open. Yes you can use ethernet to access router no need to use R3 wifi if its crashing or attach ethernet from R3 to another router in AP mode and use that routers wifi.
