  1. Without QoS the R2 should reach close to gigabit speeds so if you want QoS at those higher speeds then the XR would be the better choice.
  2. We'll try and get you guys boosted up the list. @Nalsano there is no need to make a new account, if anything it would likely get the beta after your main account.
  3. Yes you can return it within 14 days for any reason.
  4. Yes absolutely, it can be used with any ISP/connection type as long as you have an existing modem/router to connect it to.
  5. Invites are still being sent out but it is a waiting game, I'll try and get you boosted up the list. No it won't come immediately but later on down the line.
  6. Could you put these in the form itself please so we can move them? Also please don't put a 3.0 picture outside the beta forum.
  7. That's certainly plausible, I've passed it on to the team! Glad to hear you like what we're offering. It's definitely our biggest update to date and will pave the way for more features to be added much more easily. Invites are still being sent out so always the chance you'll get it before the R2 ships but thank you for the support, we really appreciate you sticking with us for this long!
  8. Hey, welcome to the forum! That's a good question and it is the latter at the moment, I will however suggest that to the team as that is quite a good workaround.
  9. Thank you for the feedback, as I said we're looking for cheaper alternatives so if you would prefer to wait we'll have some cheaper options in the future.
  10. It's always been that price for us for DHL Express 1 working day delivery. We do usually have Royal Mail as an option as well which is cheaper but takes a bit longer. Due to COVID we didn't want to risk it as they can be unreliable but will bring it back after everything has settled down. We will be seeking cheaper alternatives as well in the future.
  11. They don't send confirmation emails out so you just have to wait for an invite. Thanks for your patience.
  12. We're working hard to get it tested and out to testers as soon as possible. I couldn't give time frame exactly but after we've deemed the XR500 to be quite stable I think.
  13. I've got some more information for you. It still does run about the same speed - this is the same on the XR routers as well. However, we have an idea we are looking into on how we can massively improve this. Once it is ready we'll provide an update for free via the Rapp store. With QoS on it can reach 300-400mbps currently but we're looking into optimizing this further to improve the max throughput. With QoS off it can reach near gigabit speeds.
  14. We've never given free shipping on the R1 and the same with the R2. That's perfectly understandable, perhaps we can get some cheaper shipping alternatives after launch.
  15. I'll try and get some estimates and get back to you.
  16. I'll try and get a more clear cut answer for you. Alex covered this earlier in the topic, don't have any specifics at the moment:
  17. It's suitable for a large house and as the WiFi is better it will have better penetration so should be fine. Yes, it's much better this time around! Estamos enviando mais convites o tempo todo, e você receberá um em breve. It should be in pretty good shape yes, of course though we will be watching very closely after release as it is a completely different scenario having lots of people using it so I'm expecting bugs to appear like with any product but we'll be in good shape to release updates quicker than before. Yes it does support IPv6 and we're working hard to ensure other features work well with it. From our tests this has been resolved. - If people want to discuss AX/WiFi 6 etc please so do in another topic as it's going off topic here.
  18. If they were about to be EOL then we wouldn't be spending all this time trying to get 3.0 working on each router properly and running a beta for each, just would not be a good use of dev time if that were to be the case. Our routers have always been a decent price, it's not a case of undercutting them at all. If people want the higher hardware option then that's what the XR series is for. With ours we're aiming to get DumaOS in the hands of those on a budget and get updates out faster. Just depends on what you would prefer. I think it actually complements the XR series well. I can assure you the partnership is going strong.
  19. Hey, welcome to the forum! Did you make sure you're accessible? I'll get the team to send the fix over next week - you'll then need to do the upgrades yourself.
  20. Probably until August 6th when it is has been released and no longer on pre-order.
  21. We have nothing to do with the entire settings portion of the XR routers, that is down to Netgear. For example the DHCP issue is a bug that they are fixing, they would not need anything for us in order to implement this in a new firmware - they could use the existing build together with their changes/fixes. I haven't got any specific stats for you but the cause of slower speeds on the R1 with PPPoE was due to hardware limitations, so as the R2 is more powerful this will be improved upon. Thank you so much for the support and for the kind words. We're sure you'll love the R2!
  22. I've put your names forward from your other posts. The betas are separate, they were being tested by those invited before the R2 was announced. In fact the R2 is optimized for DumaOS which has allowed us to get the betas out when we did. Thank you very much for the support! Sure, I'll get you bumped up. What beta have you signed up for? We're working hard to get the 700 beta tested and out to testers as soon as we can. We will continue to support all the XR routers. The R2 is completely optimized for 3.0, its this that has allowed us to develop it faster than if we were to use the R1 for example. It's getting it working optimally on other routers which takes more time. All the routers that have DumaOS - R1, XR300, XR450, XR500, XR700 will receive 3.0. Given that betas are usually where developers and consumers interact the closest to work on bugs etc and so there isn't the traditional tech support it kind of makes sense. Answered this above. Answered above. Our partnership with Netgear has been fantastic and we're not planning on dropping these routers, all of the XR series will receive 3.0. When we partnered with Netgear we said to them that we wanted to continue bringing out our own routers and they were absolutely fine with that. We want to continue to innovate and grow just like any company.
  23. If you have the XR500 you can post here: https://community.netgear.com/t5/Nighthawk-Pro-Gaming-DumaOS-3-0/bd-p/en-home-beta-npg-duma If you have the R1 beta then take a look at the main forum page and scroll down, you should see the section for the beta where you can post.
  24. I'm not sure actually, not many tend to say where they are from. We do have some Aus users for the R1. If your username/email for this forum is the same as the Netgear community/signup details then nothing, we'll just try and get you bumped up. The people who are using it are posting there rather than here about any issues they may have. If we gave an untested firmware to 1000's of users at once, for a product that controls their internet connection there is the potential for a lot of chaos there. More calculated beta waves is the best way to go to make sure we're on top of any issues. We will continue to expand the groups and eventually it will roll into an open beta. There will be an announcement, you'll have to wait and see what it is about. It's in beta right now, people are using it. It's not like typical betas for other things you may have tried, this is a proper beta used for feedback and bug fixing. We will increase the group sizes to ensure stability.
