Any further updates on post BETA releases yet (public readiness)? More specifically for the 700? Also any progress on the IP issue?

We've only really just released the first XR700 build so there will be at least another one I should think. It really depends how stable they are as to when it can be released publically.

I did - For some reason I haven't been able to achieve internet connection over wifi now to the R2 like I was before so I can't access the setup wizard at all

You don't need an internet connection to access the interface and actually you need to complete the wizard in order to get internet. Can you access 192.168.77.1 via the web browser through ethernet or WiFi?

Thanks, Fraser. That's good to know, and I won't miss spending hours trying to troubleshoot it anymore. Do they have any idea whether it's the sort of issue that can be fixed in a firmware update, or is it a hardware issue? By all means drop me a line if there's ever any testing you or the NG team would like me run at my end.

Thanks again to you and the team for your timely and helpful replies. It's much appreciated.

They haven't specified but I don't think it is something that would be a hardware issue and the fact they said they would get a fix but it's just not easy does indicate firmware. Thanks for your volunteering, we'll let you know if we need you to try anything. You're very welcome!

  4. If you check the Internet Setup page on the XR which we know works and there are any differing settings there then we can copy that over to the R2 to see if it will work that way. We don't unfortunately as we're a small team. There is an issue we're looking at which is probably the reason why it isn't working correctly. I've sent you a PM.

There is an option within the google wifi app to change to PPPoE - should I try that?

No don't do that, if you have internet already then you don't need it and it would only cause you to disconnect. Check what Internet settings the Google WiFi is already using and see if you can enter them into the R2 to get a connection.

I was trying to reconfigure the router because it goes into a state where I can not log into the Dumas software. Whether I use the IP address or routerlogin.net I hard reboot and still could not gain access. My last resort is to reset. Once a change is made and a reboot is done that when the error would come up.

When that next happens give your PC a static IP in its network settings and see if it then allows access.

BTW..this is a bug that I think has been around a while *wink*...

Changing the logfile settings. When I click apply, I get a white page and it applies none of the stuff I unchecked for logfiles.

I was trying to uncheck the "Known DOS attacks and Port Scans" and "Port Forwarding / Port Trigggering" options. I have a cryptocurrency (Energi3 - NRG) Masternode running on a Ubuntu PC and it always shows a lot of extra details that I don't need to know about the masternode.. But I can't change anything about the options of the logfile. Everything I try to change gives that. Here's another one that I came across... this one made me need to refresh and log back in..

    Error.PNG

I believe this is due to the browser blocking it or an Adblocker you've got active on the web browser.

I have a question if I buy the new dumaos r2 router is it useful to replace the one from the fiber company, is it compatible with triple vlan and ppoe?

It can't replace your modem but if you have a modem and separate router it could replace the router. The R2 doesn't currently have VLAN implemented unfortunately but I'm trying to see if I can push the devs to get it included soon. PPPoE is supported.
