pollutionblues reacted to Netduma Luke in ANNOUNCEMENT: DUMAOS 3.0 IS HERE
    Hi Everyone,
Today we are delighted to announce that signups for the DumaOS 3.0 beta are now open - this will be gradually rolled out to everyone who signs up, over time.
This is a big step. It means that after many months of hard work, we are now ready for you guys to begin testing 3.0 on your DumaOS powered routers.
    What is in DumaOS 3.0?
It’s named 3.0 for a reason. It marks the next generation of DumaOS, our router operating system. Not only will 3.0 come with a whole bunch of new features for your router, we have also overhauled a tonne of things under the hood which will make it far easier for us to get new features to you in the future.
So far, we have announced four of the eight major features coming in 3.0. You can read more about each of them here:
Geo-Fencing: draw multiple Geo-Filters of any shape around your favourite server banks Application QoS: prioritize the traffic that matters the most to you by allocating bandwidth by application type e.g. gaming, streaming etc. Connection Benchmark: run a pure test of your Internet line to find out how stable your ping is and if you are getting your full bandwidth speeds Traffic Controller: block any applications, ports or devices from accessing the Internet. Feature 5: Announcing Soon Feature 6: Announcing Soon Feature 7: Announcing Soon Feature 8: Announcing Soon Further feature reveals will be posted on our blog here: https://netduma.com/blog/

    How do I Signup?
    Netduma R1 owners - go here: https://netduma.com/r1-dumaos-3-beta-signup/
    Nighthawk Pro Gaming users (XR300, XR450, XR500, XR700) - go here: http://www.netgearinnovation.com/dumaos-beta/index.html
When will I get the beta?
When making a major software update like 3.0, it's normal for things to not be perfect at the start. So as much as we would love each and every one of you to get your hands on 3.0 right now, it would be risky for us to do it in one go.
Instead we will be phasing the roll-out, starting off with a small number of testers. Once things are looking good, we will add some more, then more, gradually increasing until everyone who has signed up has received the upgrade.
When we are ready for you to join the beta you will get an email into your inbox with instructions on how to join. Please be patient - we will email you when we are ready.
    Finally...
We want to thank you for your support and patience during the development of 3.0. We are very aware that it has taken time. But it really has been worth it. It has allowed us to take DumaOS to the next level. Work is already underway on 3.1 and we're working on some seriously big features that will give you even more control over your lag and your network.
We hope you have fun testing 3.0.
    The ND Team

In game ping meters add processing delay etc. All games do this, that is why the in game ping is higher. Auto Ping is your direct ping to the server and this is what you should focus on as it is what you can control.

I’ve not played fifa in ages but, when you boot up the game I think you should see all the servers briefly show up on the geofilter (I’ll update my fifa tomorrow and double check this)
Move your geofilter to another server location, make sure strict mode is ticked, set ping assist to 0 then search for a game. Be aware It might take considerably longer than normal to find a game.
Let me know how it goes and I’ll try fifa tomorrow.

If you fill in this form the server locations can be updated in the cloud database.

PS4 NAT Type 2 is an open NAT, it just means it is behind a router so you're good to go!

The server on the West Coast USA is a whitelisted server, either the game or the console need this server to authenticate, connecting to whitelisted servers is normal and they don’t effect gameplay as game servers are separate. You can tell a whitelisted server as it has a circle around it.
I would set your range to about 1000km and also use ping assist.
You can find out more about the geofilter and ping assist in these articles.

    Hey, welcome to the forum!
pollution has answered your question perfectly. I would say that a console doesn't use much bandwidth for gaming, less than 1mbps so it is probably not necessary to set an allocation anyway.

As above, couldn't put it better myself! If you notice that the in game ping fluctuates/spikes a lot then that will indicate the server is under load and would suggest forcing a different server, perhaps even one slightly further away. The ping to the server may be slightly higher but it may be more stable.

    Hi,
    Welcome to the forum.
There isn’t any way to make DumaOS see 2 separate devices as 1.
The best way to achieve what you want is to use Bandwidth Allocation. Set say 20% to each console and make sure share excess is ticked. This way each console will only use bandwidth when it needs it, any spare bandwidth will be shared amongst your other devices.
You can read more on Bandwidth Allocation here:

    Hi,
    Welcome to the forum.
Your WiFi devices are showing as wired because they are connected to your mesh system and not directly to the XR450. As the mesh system is wired to the XR450 any device connected to it will be seen as wired in Device Manager.

Sounds like a port issue, as far as I am aware TP Link don't do pure modems. How do you have the R1 setup with the TP Link, using DMZ, modem mode?

Pretty much what pollutionblues said. It may be compatible already.
Make sure that your PS4 is set to the PlayStation device type in Device Manager, and make sure that it's currently online. Remember that if you connect the PS4 over WiFi and Ethernet at different points, it will appear twice on the router, so make sure to delete the duplicate PS4 if it's in device manager, you don't want to add the wrong one to Geo-Filter.

Even though Rocket League doesn’t have a profile it may still work. I don’t play it so I can’t really offer much help as I’m not familiar with how it’s matchmaking works but a lot of games work with the geofilter straight out of the box without any intervention from Netduma. Netduma staff will be able to tell you if it may be added in the future.

    Hey, welcome to the forum!
As above, it's just available on those routers. We may allow it to be put on different routers in the future but it's not a priority for us at the moment.
