pollutionblues reacted to Netduma Fraser in A thank you :)
What a nice change of pace, thanks for the kind words and feedback!
That has been requested so it's on the list, I've brought up trying to get some user requests in recently so hopefully we'll do that That's been mentioned before but can't be done with a toggle switch, it would require two versions of the same firmware so not sure about that Thanks for the suggestion, you can prioritize them really low with the advanced SmartBOOST and it should have a similar effect. Thank you very much!

Hi guys, usually we use the forum only to expose problems but this time I wanted to congratulate you for the new firmware and the one you brought.
1-Behavioral identification, in my case, in Italy, I use many things that are only national and before were never detected by smartqos, now all those I use and have tested are classified and they are classified correctly, even many games (on PC especially) before were never detected now yes even if they are a generic "video games" or "streaming" it's fine because they are classified correctly and the qos makes sure they are prioritized.
2-the interface doesn't freeze anymore, but this also depends a bit on the various firmwares.
3-thanks for giving us the Italian language as well as other languages for other nations, every now and then I report something that can be improved but in any case 99% of things work fine.
Something I would like to see in the future:
1-the ability to set a scheduled reboot of the device
2-to be able to turn off all the lights, they really make a lot of light especially if you have the router in the same room where you sleep.
3-an option in the Qos as a real bandwidth limiter for a single device, for example, I want my friend's cell phone to not be able to use more than 5mb of bandwidth.
So Netduma team thanks for your product and support, I've been with you for 10 years now I think with the first netduma and taken all at the release, this new innovation that you have introduced is truly a functional thing especially for those activities that are not classified.

Congratulations NETDUMA!
This is really a success story from the start.. First starting in the kitchen and now evolving into what I would call a dominate force in the market.. I honestly have to say you guys have done what no other router or software company has ever thought was possible.. Its like the saying.. "Going where no man has gone before". That is honestly such a true statement in this situation..
I have been here for over 6 years and really have to give my hat off to NETDUMA.. Its been a marvel to see them grow.. And the features that really make one speechless.. When it comes to gaming there is no other router software out there that can influence ones experience like a DumaOS router.. Hands down there is none..
I have to say the folks at NETDUMA are truly good folks!
I have to give a shout out to Fraser as well.. Watching him work the support forums is amazing.. That guy has patience like no other.. ha ha I thought I had patience but this guy has me beat!
Congrats again guys!
May there be many more years of success to come. Its well deserved.
Zippy.

Congratulations, all those years ago, the R1 fixed so many network issues for me, helped me game without others streaming causing me to lag.
And now your doing that at source with ISP's. Amazing to see what you've achieved guy's, bravo.

Using old school R1 firmware, really trying to make me rack my brain today huh!
Make sure you have strict mode enabled and Ping Assist set to 0, then restart the game and try again please.

Dovrai inserire l'indirizzo IP WAN dell'R3 nella sezione DMZ del tuo modem Fastweb. L'IP WAN di R3 può essere trovato andando su Impostazioni > WAN

Just to be clear, I provide support, I'm not a developer, you can get as agitated with me as much as you like but I assure you it does nothing to help you, me or your issues. If you would like support then I will be happy to continue to assist you, this is your first post on the forum, you may have seen topics and posts previously but until you receive directed support for your issues I feel it's hard to provide a generalisation.
If you don't want support and are instead seeing this as a challenge or a way to show us up or make you feel better then I implore you to tell me now so I can spend my time helping others that would like our support.
Are you using Armor? Are you using HTTPS or HTTP to access the interface? Setting your speed tells the router the maximum bandwidth it has available, hence why the speed will then change. There has always been a workaround to allow you to filter/prioritize on PC. How are you determining it is missing packets exactly? Could you provide a video of how you're updating the names please on the Device Manager? Without a screenshot of the QoS page and a better overview of your network at the time of testing it's hard to determine what is happening there but:
If you have Congestion Control set it will affect the speeds on those devices
If other devices are being used at the time when testing it will affect the speeds on those devices
If other devices require more bandwidth than their allocation then it will affect the speeds on those devices What is the model of the modem/router the XR is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the XR? E.g. XR in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode. Are ALL devices connected to the XR? Are they connected directly or are they connected through switches, extenders, APs etc?
I agree a firmware update has taken too long, you're not wrong there.

Hi everyone! I'm Justas (or Eustace, in English). I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. It's been almost a year since I joined the marketing team, and I'm proud to be a part of the Netduma army 😁 I have been hard at work ever since, helping with the R3 launch campaigns/activities. I'm thoroughly enjoying my time here and love the amazing people and positive work environment.

pollutionblues reacted to Netduma Fraser in 8700 posts since release 3 months ago! Yes, almost 9 thousand posts!
No we don't have that.
I have 70,000 posts over 10 years which means I average around 600 posts a month. Making the last 3 months just under double what I would normally do which is expected for new hardware/software so it's actually not as much as it seems. I don't think comparing us to companies with billions in the bank and thousands of employees is a fair comparison - we're still a relatively small company.
The router is tested of course by us but every connection is different, hence why we beta tested as well. However, it is not realistic to assume that there won't be issues, even Netgear who are massive will have the same. Development is very fluid, I could provide some information today that is no longer relevant tomorrow. I know your intentions are pure, you just want the best and I understand that, unfortunately issues come to light that aren't expected and we just have to figure out what is happening and get it sorted as quickly as possible which is what we're trying to do. In my opinion some of the firmware we have provided since Xmas was rushed and I'm partially to blame for that as I caved to customer pressure so we're not making that same mistake again. We'll take our time and get it right.

pollutionblues got a reaction from Netduma Fraser in UPDATE v4.0.41 No internet Connection detected on Factory resetting R3, here is what to do....
@Netduma FraserI had this happen when I factory reset after updating from v.23 to v.40, the setup wizard showed 'No Internet Connection Detected' even though I definitely had a connection, I closed the browser and when I opened it again it showed 'Internet Connected'
