  1. If you are technically minded then you could buy something like a raspberry pi and install PiHole. Pihole blocks all adverts on your network. It's very easy to do if you are technically minded.
  2. There is an open session on this game for a few days. Might be worth downloading it and doing your testing @Netduma Fraser
  3. Sent you a PM about this. i cant see any extra forum about testing?
  4. I really hope it has. My XR500 has been sitting in the cupboard for 18 months.
  5. Thats Great news. I'm ready to test if you need anyone. My router has been sitting in the cupboard for a while now.
  6. @Netduma LiamWhat's the latest on this ? Have you had the firmware back from netgear with the fix? Is it getting any closer to release time?
  7. Tbh Ive been waiting since march 2021 for netduma/Netgear try to fix the DHCP issues. The netduma team do work hard and I appreciate that but updates/firmware releases are not netduma or Netgear strong point. You only have to look at the previous history of updates to see that. Takes for too long.
  8. Do we have any update on when a new Firmware will be released to fix the issues on the XR500? MAINLY the DHCP issue. Luke posted on the 24th November 2021 saying the process will be alot faster but here we are 6 months on, still no firmware and still no new features but apparently its going to be Netduma's biggest leap forward.
  9. I will happily test any beta firmware's. Ive not used my XR500 since march last year so it might be a good use case for you guys!
  10. But then you have basic but key features on a router that just don't work correctly. DHCP! I have been waiting for 12 months now for a firmware update to fix the DHCP issues. Sorry but 12 months is more then enough time for a company to fix an urgent issue like this.
  11. I first reported the DHCP issue in March 2021. I have asked to use static address until there get the issue fixed. We i did. That did not work for me..8-9 times the router would just stop working. Only way to fix would be to reboot the router. The a update came out that was suppose to fix the issue. Installed it and did a factory reset..20 Minutes later router stopped working and i reported the issue again around May 2021...March 2022 and still waiting for a fix. I've been using a cheap 40 pound router since around March/April 2021 and DHCP works fine and that router has no issues at all. i work with network equipment every day of my life with being a Cisco Network Engineer...One of the most basic features of any router is DHCP...Netduma/Netgear have failed to fix this in a quick manner and there have and will continue to lose business until there get a proper solution to get firmware out within weeks not months or years.
  12. I think it might have been the best thing to buy a new router at this point. I've been using a cheap 40 pound router for around 12 months now with no issues. I'm now thinking of buying a different router to replace my XR500 due to updates taking far too long. At this point I really have to question netgear and Netduma.
  13. Yeah i agree, I'm very frustrated about the XR500 router. Took it out of my setup March 2021 due to DHCP failing and its been in a drawer since then...i think i have plugged it in once to see if the last firmware fixed the issue but it never. It went back to the draw and its been in there ever since. 200+ Pounds for a router that is sit in the draw is expectable tbh. Firmware updates just take far too long to come out. Yes i understand there have to be tested before there are released but its just crazy how long it takes. Either Netduma do not have enough resources to complete the work or Netgear are not giving Netduma the firmware's until a few months after. I would happily test our firmware if its fixes the DHCP issue
  14. Thank you for the answer. Have you updated it since season 12 has gone live last week?
