corrosiveguy
Hello everyone.. Just purchased the Netduma R1 and it will be here Friday. I am excited as ever to get my hands on this router. I am a Call of Duty player and gave up on Advanced Warfare in December of last year due to the considerable lag. Black Ops 3 has been roughly the same story.. I love the game when it plays smooth, but at the same time it is the most frustrating game I have ever played in my life. I have shattered one controller due to the lag. I am pretty good at COD, not Pro level, but very good. Most of my games I would average around 25-30 kills and between 8-10 deaths. This was on Modern Warfare 2, Black Ops, and Modern Warfare 3. But in recent years something has changed. It seems as though most of the games I get into Lag, and its the battle to stay even or a 1.00 KD in my games. I remember always playing games in my area in COD4, MW2, Black Ops. But in recent years I am paired with people in California and the west coast when I live in Ohio. I would go on the COD forums and read "its your internet, get better" comments when I said something had changed in match making and the coding of the game. I have 60 Mbps down, and 6 up, and my consoles in a DMZ and when the new COD games lag it is very frustrating. So glad I found this website and can set my geo filter to local games. I think when the game runs smooth I actually get a close dedicated server or good host. But most of the time I get lag. Anyhow, can anyone post the optimal settings that you use on your Netduma for Black Ops 3? I play that on PS4, but also have an xbox one I play AW on. I live in Ohio, and I heard there is a dedicated server in Chicago.. Just wanted to say hello and share why I purchased my router. Even feedback is appreciated. PharmDawgg
Congratulations on the purchase and welcome to the Netduma forum. For optimal settings be sure to read through the wiki as much as you can. Over the past year these have been the more common questions that have been answered and have helped out many other R1 gamers. Just a heads up this router requires alot of trial and error. What might work for me might not work for you. Just keep an open mind when you get the router and most of all have fun. Sometimes we forget to do this.
