JConnor
The R1 does work, guys. It's just THE GAME and Activision's shitty server mechnaics... allowing people from anywhere to play with people from anywhere regardless, of ping... That is messed up. Proof? The Netduma's Geofilter keeps me off (and on) certain servers I would be on (and vice versa) without it. Without the Geofilter, my game would be trying to connect to across the country and even the ocean to the UK, or Spain! So, while it's not perfect, it's a Hell of a lot better than without... at least, for me.

pie
I'll probably take my r7000 out of access point and give it a go tonight if connections are still terrible. Or I might just play FO4.

A7Legit
New update puts the R1 ahead of the R7000 for games including BO3. Adding that the R1 has the geo-filter and ping assist, I don't need to use either of my R7000's for any COD. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CAdfZX-UkAAgQlP?format=pjpg&name=large
Limagreen
Night hawk's strength is its wireless range. Other than that no different from any other router out there. Don't be fooled.............. Makes no difference to your on line games. R1 has unique software which gives you a greater range of settings you can control, Geo Filter is unique. bcoe30
Yup... Lets not be fooled by the router, that should be working as advertised! It worked great the first year. So... I'm regarding buying this duma & using YouTube people to help sell the thing. Guys are falling into activations thought of marketing practices. I'm untitled to my thoughts on it. If this new big update .. Anti - jitter thing doesn't work, I'm selling it

So, while it's not perfect, it's a Hell of a lot better than without... at least, for me. Same for me too. It has blocked me from hosts in Mexico, Cali, North Dakota, that Seattle dedicated sever, the list go on ... I'm east coast, and that's where I wanna play my COD games. That's why I got the R1. I love it. Even with games with in my geo filter, at 25-40ms ping, I'll have laggy games, and that's NOT NETDUMA's fault. It did its job finding a quality lobby but b/c of Activisions servers, everyone was lagging prob because it had someone from the UK, Canada, etc., in that lobby which in turn makes EVERYONE lag. Ppl don't realize that all it takes is for ONE person to connect with a horrible connection and it'll throw that entire lobby into a tail spin. So how is that NETDUMA's fault? Mine works great after some help and patience.

II N3MES1S II
Nighthawk makes it so that you're just playing the game, the R1 makes it so you're constantly fiddling around with settings instead of just playing the game. Once you realize this and stop looking at the router and just play, you will never have a problem again. My BO3 settings and I have a 3.0k/d - Located in NJ, congestion control is at 100% the whole time. My bandwidth values are set correctly. Eh...your PS4 service is not even on, when it shows (DISABLE) it is on and when it shows (ENABLE) it is off.
II N3MES1S II
To all that are using another router in between the modem and netduma, please do yourself a favor and remove the other router. MODEM>NETDUMA>CONSOLE

takeover514
This router is absolute garbage I won't be asking for a refund but nice way to grab money for real...I was having way better gaming with my arris modem plugged directly lol not only my netduma router is brand new but now the device will reset itself without me pressing anything after reading around in the forum I've noticed is always the same group of guy (Duma army) protecting the real consumer feedback I won't be asking for a refund but just know if you're reading this and live in the United States this device won't really help you DOMINATE LAG period . I had to unplugged netduma to enjoy my bo3 again as customer I was expecting at least a working device but the quality of the router is horrible I know you guys focus on software instead of hardware for bigger profits margin but how in the world my device is already defective after only having it for 24 hours I was so excited to get this but hey don't believe the hype! I don't think you can speak for all of them. Why make an angry post like this when you've made very little effort to get help and sort out any problems that you might be having? I suggest making a thread about this. Explain your issue and see who can help.

Well you better tell the players who are getting flawless gameplays with the router this because I think they may beg to differ. This router has a learning curve. It is not plug and play. What works for me might not work for you. It requires a little trial and error in order to determine the best setup. How long have you used the router and what different setups have you tried? Do you think because you play a few games and got owned that the router is garbage. Well I guess we are all entitled to our opinion but I beg to differ. This is the best or one of the best pieces of kit for gaming that I have found. Listen to me the router works. I know. I am using it. Give it a chance. When you do find that sweet spot setup with the router you will say it works too.
Zestroy
Hi, I'm using the Netduma with a Nighthawk R7000 also. My Nighthawk is running Asuswrt-Merlin firmware that allows me to control bandwidth. In order to significantly reduce bufferbloat, I set upload and download to slightly less than my actual speeds. The small bandwidth sacrifice is absolutely worth having a lower ping. I played with the Nighthawk only but missed controlling what server I connect to and comparing in game ping to Ping Assist numbers. Treyarch wants to connect me to Seattle buy I prefer Chicago. I was also throttling with the Nighthawk but have found Congestion Control on Netduma to be more convenient. Connecting the two is easy, here is the Wiki. Cut your losses and sell it, someone else may have a better experience with it like the majority 'round here. No hate dude, just sell it and connect your console straight into your modem.
