nytemare01 Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 Hey guys Instead of using congestion control is it possible to just use the block Internet feature instead for the devices that you don't want to interfere? I've been blocking all devices except for the console I'm using. Are there any drawbacks for doing this?

nytemare01 Posted October 24, 2015 Author Posted October 24, 2015 Lol. Just weighing my options. I usually make sure no one else is using the internet. Just trying to see if there are any benefits as opposed to congestion control
nytemare01 Posted October 24, 2015 Author Posted October 24, 2015 Also what are the best numbers to set the bleeding edge to?
Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted October 24, 2015 Netduma Staff Posted October 24, 2015 Also what are the best numbers to set the bleeding edge to? The numbers in the boxes don't mean anything when it is enabled Bleeding edge is the very latest cloud version.

Yeah like Crossy said, you'll be the only one able to use the internet. So I would probably not go that way,or you may have the rest of the family slightly upset with you... You do have auto and bleeding edge ticked correct ? If you do as Crossy said you'll be on the latest cloud settings which are automatically updated with those ticked

Zennon Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 If you input your speed tested bandwidth in to the congestion control and put the sliders to 70% each way with reactive algorithm you will see very little change in pings. Your over all bandwidth will slow by around 30% leaving headroom.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 25, 2015 Administrators Posted October 25, 2015 Using congestion control is much better for this, it was designed to eliminate lag whilst people are using multiple devices, downloading, streaming etc
