FatalDragon Posted October 16, 2015 Share Posted October 16, 2015 I have had my netduma for about a week, first my pings kept rising then I upgraded to the new firmware and I cannot get into a lobby with a north american host. I look at the map i have widened the filter to include the entire north america. but as soon as i untick strict mode it throws me in south america's dedicated server with a ping of 100 i am in North america, Kansas the center of the U.S. I have been trying at all times of the day for a week. before i posted. fuzzy clam Posted October 16, 2015 Share Posted October 16, 2015 Do you have both auto cloud and bleeding edge ticked ? And after you ticked them did you hit apply cloud settings ? I would do that step even if you already have them ticked as when you hit apply cloud settings it flushes the cloud Just tick strict,it may take a minute or two to find a game.You can try moving your home location to Illinois as there is a dedi bank of servers in SE Illinois and they are always up.I live in Michigan and I set my GF at 400 miles and get in games quickly,with strict on. Dillinger Posted October 16, 2015 Share Posted October 16, 2015 Fatal - I don't "know" for sure, but recently the dedicated servers that used to host AW have been either a) only hosting BO2 or are ALSO hosting black ops 2 games. I suspect that 3arc and the hand selected YT community are all "testing" black ops 3 on the dedicated servers. This has been happening for at least a week that I know of for sure. This leads me to your problem. I don't know how many people are playing AW, and I also don't know that anyone has reported a dedicated server game on AW in the last couple of weeks. When you connect in South America, is it on a dedicated server? Or is it a player host? You will know because you can't "Rate" a dedicated server) IF AW has switched to a P2P host format, that would greatly reduce your available hosts in a given area. With strict ticked, it's going to be even harder unless you have a ridiculously large Geo filter area to survey. I saw in your first post that you have/had it expanded to cover the whole of North America - That makes me think you might have the Enable/Disable reversed for the system you are playing on, but then you get a lobby in South America that I "presume" you can see, ping and etc. That makes me think it is ENABLED. First things first - We need to get someone to test AW and see if they can get a game. I happened to be WFH today, so give me about 30 minutes to get off this conference call and I will check to see if I can get a game. I only have AW on the XB One - is that the system you are on? We don 't really know what Activision and Playstation have worked out Fatal. I suspect their whole focus is Black Ops 3 because of the new exclusivity contract with 3arc. If that's the case, we should probably get some info from the regular AW players so we "know" what is happening (Dedicated servers vs. P2P) Hey @Fuzzy, (or other #DumaArmy PS4 member) can you lend a brother a hand? Jump on AW, open up your Geo when you get a chance, and see what you are getting for hosts? Maybe take a couple of shots so we have a couple of different folks showing what AW has hosts for now? We don't really know if they have switched to P2P yet, so this is as good a time as ever to investigate and get the information out there for newer adopters. I live in Iowa but have moved my location since the severs in Texas are 30 ms or less for me. I know you play AW but I play ghosts and haven't had any issues. Best of luck! I got the same dedi's I normally get in Illinois and Southern Illinois,picked up Georgia,Alabama and Texas all the same servers on my end.Maybe I just got lucky and will try it again in a couple of hours.And report back Hang in there Fatal we'll get it figured out... fuzzy clam Posted October 17, 2015 Share Posted October 17, 2015 This probably isn't gonna help anything but I went back to PS3 and played BO2 and can't pick up a dedi anywhere in the US. All P2P games,but running pretty well.But on PS4 all dedi's on AW still,so I got no idea what's going on. FatalDragon Posted October 18, 2015 Author Share Posted October 18, 2015 thank all of you for the responses I'm sorry for the late response i was fairly busy with school. but i am still barely having any luck finding lobbies. i know that south america clearly still has servers and the servers are about 120ms ping on average from north america kansas i hope we can figure this out guys i just wanna have fun and play some games.
