Thanks for posting Bags!  I had seen a video on the changes, and meant to read up on them, but that too fell by the wayside.  Now I can see for myself, so let's see what they did do....

1 - Blackhat.  I don't get the hate this got, to be honest.  I used it for about 2 days.  It just wasn't a viable tool, for me, in relation to work I could be doing while trying to hack the first UAV or CUAV that was put up.  It literally took JUST UNDER half the time of a UAV'S duration to hack the thing in the first place, so I really only got about 40-45 seconds out of it.  I was never able to hack equipment through walls anyways, so I just gave up it's usage.  With this tune I feel they went too far the other direction (i.e. - longer time to hack AND you show up on the map?!)  I feel it is no longer a viable option UNLESS you are the type of player who wants to do the dirty work to win each game.  For game battles and shit like that, perfect.  For pub play?  Not great.  That is one less piece of equipment most people will run, so now we start slide back to the pick 9 or pick 8 class because some things become no-brainers?

2 - Rejack.  More like No-Thanks.  This baffles me all around.  First, the only problem I had with it is that I didn't get credit for putting a guy into Rejack mode, I had to wait for him to revive and kill him a second time for "one kill".  Because that game moves pretty fast, the very fact I had to sit and watch one point usually led to me getting shot in the back or side.  Without the ability to keep your total going towards your next score streak, what is the point?  This becomes a class ability tactical insertion that is only good if you were killed in a situation where you weren't the focus of all the enemies fire (i.e. not on the hill, in a hard point, PTFOing) and instead are some little sniping shit in some dark corner of the map.  Why would any serious player run this ability?  I guess if you happened to like the H.I.V.E. special, it would be worth it.  I used H.I.V.E. quite a bit in the Beta because of all the silly wall running everyone was doing to test it out.  I just launched the HIVE at every traffic path and waited.  Usually got at least one HIVE kill before I got merked.

3 - Flinch.  I didn't think it was that bad before, but it was clearly worse than in Blops 2 with Toughness.  Without Toughness, the Blops 2 version is actually worse!  I didn't think this needed a nerf, and I am kind of disappointed that it did since I have been playing w/o Toughness since the Beta to get ready for November.  *sad panda*

4 - Hit/Kill Feedback.  I didn't think it was a problem before.  I have to see how this is going to play out, but as long as I don't have that MW3 red jelly all over the screen, I guess it won't hurt.

5 - Movement versus Physics.  I am concerned with the schooling the CoD community is getting at the classes they are supposed to be attending while not playing a game they aren't supposed to be able to buy.     Seriously?!  Complaint: "If you are running backwards, or lying prone, you can't throw your grenade AS FAR?!"  *facepalm*  Have you EVER thrown anything in your life?!   I don't think this needed to be addressed at all.  If anything, with as game changing as "grenade-spots" have been in the last TWO world championships of CoD, why would you make it ANY fucking easier for them?!  Make it harder to hit dead center on a hill or hard point when you are running around like a Tazmanian Devil on crack.  Bad call, but I suspect this will make the game easier and thus more popular.

6 - Nerfing Concussion and Flashbangs.  SMH.  Again, I just don't get this action.  This has a counter, it's called Tac Mask.  I do agree with them unlocking it earlier for you to equip, but I didn't think those grenades were out of line with the other shit going on in the game.  I would have addressed gun balance LONG before looking at this as an issue.  I suspect this ties directly to competitive play, so whatever.

7 - Time in Hill stat.  Absolutely.  No reason it shouldn't have been there from shortly after the first time someone realized "hill time" was important for winning the damn game.  Reward the guys throwing themselves at the objective.

8 - Robot escort in Safeguard score.  Score boost for escorting the robot.  This is kind of like hill time in my eyes, so people should be rewarded for what will be come you as the duck in "Shooting Gallery" but if that is what the kids want to play.  I just see this being the new game mode for 100+, 200+, 300+ kill gameplays with some asshole just killing off the escorts and not playing a second of objective time, so yeah.  Not a game mode I will be playing for anything more than a warm up.

9 - Additional Details in Killcam.  Yes.  I want to know what the guy is running and I want to see his perk layout.  When some little shit figures out a way to have all the perks on day 2 (Ghosts) or the ability to cycle them at will (early Blops videos I have seen) then the rest of us should know.  I don't think there is anything wrong with this, but it will result in the first few videos of impressive game plays being the "IT" kit.  Just have to figure out a way to counter them, which is what the underlying meta of CoD has really become.

10 - Razorback and M8a7 Changes.  Damn it!  I LOVED that M8 with my new Battle Beaver Smart Triggers.  I was a turret with that thing.  *sad panda returns*

Still looking forward to day one, but what do you guys think?

I am kind of full of apathy to be honest, Blops 2 and the beta for 3 played like shit for me. Ive even tried 2 with the R1 and it's still shite. lol.

I am kind of thinking based on my experience of 8 years of Call of Duty, The game connections went to shit in general towards the end of MW2. I am thinking that maybe, just maybe the developers are just trying to cram too much shit into one game.

As soon as the nine gazillion score streaks turned up and all the other bells and whistles like cammo and stupid dlc shite the connections went to hell.

Just my two pennies worth which I want back because Im a tight bastard Yorkshireman. :)

I am in between a rock and a hard place at the moment, I agree with you in that there is to much going on that connection for some people suffers.

I am seriously considering not getting BO this time around, I was thinking that with SWBF coming out I would go with that, but with the way it played for me, I am also going to give it a miss.

So for the first time in about ten years I am not getting involved (at the moment anyway)

I have been looking at MSG The Phantom Pain so may give that a go.

And I am a thrifty Lancastrian ;)

I see the same people having issues with the same games bops trillogy, starwars etc have you all done extensive tests with ping plotter so you can show your ISP's?

Hi Zennon, I would do if I knew what you were talking about :)

The realistic mode is looking good, That is gonna change the way people play campaign big time if they have the balls to give it a go. :)

I am definitely going to give the campaign ago with one life and see how far I can make it.  One shot and you are done, no regen?  That is going to make for some rage...LOL

BBC 14MS and 1.6 jitter

Google.com 20MS and 1.85 jitter

Twitter 13MS and 1.46 Jitter

Call of duty.com 12MS and 1.5 MS jitter.

I am guessing that these results are OK.

I am happy that they listened to people.  I am happy with most of the changes even though I loved the M8 during the beta.  I really liked that they nerfed the black hat.  Nothing worse that working hard to gain a score streak to have it easily hacked and kill you just before getting the next streak.  Love the additional details in the kill cam.

OUCH,even thou I knew the nerf to the black hat was coming...didn't feel it was necessary.I was hacking the shit out of score streaks during the game and loved it.IMO it's not that hard to get the more powerful kill streaks so I'm feeling like it will be just as BO2,everybody getting swarms, loadstars and dogs.Which leads to almost zero gun on gun action once those streaks are stacked and launched, like in the second half of DOM.And that is disappointing to me,I like gun fights and that's what the game should be about, but like BO2 one guy will be able to decide the outcome of a game all by himself. That's why people didn't like ghosts as there weren't any OP kill streaks and one guy couldn't win the game by himself, which I like.

Anyway back on point the black hat nerf,if there is gonna be powerful kill streaks that aren't that difficult to get there should be a counter...and black hat was it.You guys played the beta and the sky was loaded with kill streaks most of the match, which again leads to no gun fights.IMO people are missing the point of the game,it's not kill streaks it's gunfights, learning the maps and using strategy to out play your opponent all the while playing the objective.I don't like running kill streaks but your forced to now days,I wish they would bring back bare bones as I loved that game mode,no streaks all guns and nades.

But again IMO they are catering to the kids as that's their key demographic all the other changes are really minor as I see them, but as I've always said I got a bad feeling about BO3,hope I'm wrong but I just think it will be all streaks and a whole lot of camping to get them, along with no scopes and black scopes.

And if there are streaks all game long people leave the game's just like BO2 and it makes for shitty match making as the game just fills in the people that left with the first available people,no matter where their from.So I don't see it being any better than BO2 as we'll have the same game pretty much, aside from wall running.

I wanna like the game but just not seeing it happening.I think they should have worked on connectivity and better match making as opposed to adding new fluff to the game, for me the bottom line is I still see the same problems that have plagued past cod's.

Yes I have pre ordered it and yes I will play it,just don't know if I'll like it.

Sorry JD,I know you're all in on this game and I hope it's good as cod needs a good game right now... ;)

There are already several counters to streaks.  Ghost, Blind Eye and launchers.  You can even use some of the specialist weapons to destroy streaks.  Because they were SO easy to hack, usually 2 or more of us were carrying launchers as a secondary.  I remember one game, where I had only about 10 kills because I spent the entire game shooting down the countless score streaks. The funny thing is that I placed 2nd in score because of all the points from score streaks.

Because there are many counters to streaks, I am not a fan of black hats.

I just want a good playing game that does not focus so much on matching making and trying to wear out my jump button. LOL  I definitely do not like the numerous vertical elements of AW.  Perplex drives me completely nuts.

Yeah UK I know you can shoot down some of the streaks but some you can't,I've never seen a swarm shot down.Someone may have done it,but I've never seen it done myself, yes blind eye I know but not everyone uses it.And yes I'm one of those guys that carries a launcher but again and as you said that's all you do is shoot streaks down. That was my point, too many streaks IMO just like BO2.And I'm sure there will be some streaks that we can't shoot down or counter and everything needs a counter.

And I would love a smooth playing game doesn't have to be great,I'd settle for good at this point.Maybe I'm just bitchy as I've been playing BO2 and it's a love hate thing with that f**king game for me.And I see the same thing coming on BO3 score streak heavy game, not many gun fights.

Black ops 2 was the worst game imo for camp your ass off to get your streaks then unleash them all, rinse and repeat, mw2 had the nukes that people went for camping for kills on objective based games and the Kem on ghosts.

Speaks volumes to me.

I think that this is one of the reasons cod4 modern warfare is still a fan fave. 3-5-7 done

So true bags,I would love for BO3 to have a bare bones mode but haven't seen that since MW3

In Blops 2, you can use Blind Eye against a swarm, and against any other AI controlled aircraft.  You can use a carry EMP style grenade against one Hunter Killer drone, but I have never tried one against a whole swarm.

I HAVE used the scorestreak EMP against a sky full of shit though and that is INCREDIBLY satisfying.  I haven't used it against a swarm, but it wipes out everything including a VSAT and choppers.  Haven't used it against a Lodestar, but I suspect it would work there as well.

I have seen the Hellstorm missile get shot out of the sky (a pro player named Clayster did it in a tournament for Black Ops 2 when he was on Complexity), but you have to catch it before it breaks apart.

Lighting Strike: I don't think you can do much with that other than hope they drop it on your head.  Trophy system doesn't work.  Shield doesn't work.  I don't know about either a hand held or system wide EMP.

Maybe if you stack Ghost and Blind Eye, along with Hard Wired or Cold Blooded, and round out with Tac mask?  That might be a good opening class for Round 2 @Fuzzy clam!

Yeah agreed EMP was pretty effective and like I said I might just be bitchy about having to carry a launcher all the time again or just bitchy in general. The meet prep is really starting to take a toll on me but that's no excuse to be bitchy.
