Guest Netduma Fraser Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 Here are my stats If you click show details and show another screenshot of what comes up that will help diagnose if theres a problem
MrRelentlessUK Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Can anyone please help with this problem, on my Xbox one in the net settings I'm getting latency of around 170ms and yet when i use speed test I'm getting a ping of around 19ms on my other devices, does anyone have or had the same issue?
Buds Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Don't worry shake maker. I'm assuming you are not usa based? The ping test on xbox is to a server is usa (Redmond I think) so everything is normal.
Zennon Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Yeah as buds says this is a common worry as the xbox pings a us server even if you are in Europe.
MrRelentlessUK Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Cheers guys yeah from uk, should I just ignore that and go with my ping? Or is the Xbox the actual results from the usa server that will course lag with it being 170ms
Zennon Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Just go with your pings to the uk yes The further you send information around the world the longer it takes to get there and back a tenth of a second is good but in gaming terms its laggy thats why we have the duma so not to get Us hosts ect from here in the uk and vice versa.
MrRelentlessUK Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Just after some guidance, in aw I've had 5 games were its fine to start then i get red one bar on the ping and can't do anything in game, I've not changed my settings recently only the upnp forwarding enabled option which someone from Xbox live support told me to, can this be the fault?
Zennon Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 I have upnp forwarding set on my duma , and its fine so i doubt it is the cause. Check your settings in the gui make sure they are all set correctly , if it continues to happen maybe try a reboot of the duma
MrRelentlessUK Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 Sorry to be dumb but where can i find the gui settings zennon? I've rebooted my Duma a few times since the problem

AsNCo Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Very interesting... I live outside of the US and my Ping to Google is at an average of 2.897 ms.
Guest Netduma_Iain Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Google use anycast I believe so they should be near you where ever you live. #OmnipresentGoogle #Conspiracy

talbyfish Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 whats the 3 stars mean in line 2 of the trace??
Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted April 13, 2015 Netduma Staff Posted April 13, 2015 whats the 3 stars mean in line 2 of the trace?? Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Traceroute If a packet is not acknowledged within the expected interval, an asterisk is displayed. So basically the traceroute expects a packet as a response within a certain time. If it does not get that packet within the time is expects it you are displayed with an asterisk. It just means one host didn't respond.
