Lethal
Hi All, I was curious to know if there's a way to disable the congestion control in general? I have no need to distribute my bandwidth specifically in certain areas as it isn't necessary and it saves time having to move the sliders up and down like a yoyo lol. Also I have read in previous threads that the best way to stop the Netduma Router from causing slow WiFi speeds is to untick WiFi Work Around. I have tried looking for this in the Settings > Misc section but I can't for the life of me find it (unless I'm completely blind and unaware). Cheers lads. Macca65
Hi Lethal welcome to the forum The wifi workaround is in the misc settings, I think it's near the bottom, just above stealth mode I'll send you over my glasses You don't really need to disable yr congestion control, if you don't have a lot of other users just leave the sliders alone. It is only for when a lot of other people are using your internet , I.e. Downloading Film when you are gaming There usually only me using my internet when gaming so I just leave them at 100% Hope this helps
Lethal
I know the Congestion Controls share the excess anyways but it there's no way to disable it then that's fair enough. I still can't find the WiFi Work Around setting, I don't even see the stealth mode lol. I'm on version 1.0.3.3 so it's pretty much up to date. Am I possibly missing some settings in the misc section? Thanks for the help so far @Macca60
Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted August 16, 2015 Netduma Staff Share Posted August 16, 2015 You need to be on the latest version to see wifi workaround http://wiki.netduma.com/doku.php?id=manual_update As Macca said, to disable it set sliders to 100%. Also tick 'share excess' in device prioritisation.

Lethal
How slow is the Wifi compared to wired speeds? I'd say it's 80% slower in comparison to the wired speed.
Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted August 24, 2015 Netduma Staff Share Posted August 24, 2015 I'd say it's 80% slower in comparison to the wired speed. What are the actual speeds?
Lethal
What are the actual speeds? It's random due to it being peak time but when I did a test, I got 90mb on a wired connection and 16mb on the wireless. I thought it might just be that the Router isn't top notch when it comes to wireless but I thought I'd double check before coming to that assumption

Do you have any other wireless being broadcasted that may be causing interference? You should also run a test to find what the best wifi channel to use would be as this could improve it. Also follow http://wiki.netduma.com/doku.php?id=fine_tune_netdumajust to make sure you are getting your full speeds.
