MrWhooz
When i set it to automatic this is what it does this (1st ip confg), and i set it up statically ot does this ( 2nd ip config).
MrWhooz
So will i have to manually assign ips to everything???
MrWhooz
I have assigned static ip to a few devices and realized nothing is showing up on my congestion control page.
PharmDawgg
Have you tried disabling the Lan adapter and the wifi adapter and switching them back on again.
MrWhooz
Yes, resetting seems to have made the devices show up in the device prioritization, the router isn't assigning the ips, the devices i have on are manually assigned.
Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted August 7, 2015 Netduma Staff Share Posted August 7, 2015 You should set everything to automatic. Then go to Settings >> LAN and make sure your DHCP settings are as set like this:
MrWhooz
I doubled checked and they are set like that, but when i try to connect with a static ip the default gateway changes to 192.168.71.1, or something along those lines. Also the internet doesn't work when i set my devices to automatic. Here is the page

Also, do you have a number after WAN IP in 'Device Manager'?
MrWhooz
I have a wan ip, im not sure what you mean by a number after it. The last time i didn't apply the static ip the defaut gateway was 192.168.107.1.
Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted August 7, 2015 Netduma Staff Share Posted August 7, 2015 See here for me it has a number after WAN IP? You said that the internet doesn't work when set to automatic, and that could be a different problem to the devices not being assigned an IP. In Settings >> LAN, what is the host address set to? Is it 88 or 107. If it is 88, where does typing 192.168.107.1 into your browser take you? If it is 107, then having a default gateway of 192.168.107.1 is normal
MrWhooz
25 is the number after the wan ip. Also the lan set ip is set to 192.168.88.1. It just started doing this earlier.
Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted August 7, 2015 Netduma Staff Share Posted August 7, 2015 Have you tried restarting the router?
Akic
It looks like your AP might be assigning IPs (192.168.107.1 is showing as your default gateway)?? Make sure the nighthawk has DHCP disabled (or forwarded) , you should only have one DHCP server running on a network
MrWhooz
I unplugged the nighthawk completely, and i tried factory reset and regular resetting to no prevail.

Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted August 7, 2015 Netduma Staff Share Posted August 7, 2015 Does it work if you connect directly wired?
MrWhooz
If i assign the ip manually then it works wired, but if i don't manually assign the ip it doesn't.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 7, 2015 Administrators Share Posted August 7, 2015 Set it all to automatic then I'd recommend doing a power cycle, unplug all devices from every router, nighthawk off, R1 off, ISP hub off. Connect port 1 of R1 to ISP hub, turn on ISP hub. After a minute, turn on the R1. After a minute turn on the nighthawk then connect the devices to the R1 or nighthawk as you wish
