jeycee Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 Being able to hear footsteps (well) in AW makes me want to ask you for more info on your analogue EQ! Care to share? no way to hear footsteps in AW bro, BUT for me > better on studioheadphones (if you dont need the mic!) to hear the boostingsounds and a little of the footsteps. setting EQ in AW : 0-125hz boost, little cut at 250hz, more cut 500hz, little boost at 1000 - 16000 ... play around with it (no Lowcut filter) if anyone has others post here please...maybe we get the best sound out of it here
EffinFancy Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 I wanted to update the thread with a new purchase I made that I'm super excited about. My 4 year old or so setup are a 2010 Astro Mixamp with Audio Technica AD700 (pre-update). New setup: same mixamp, with a Schiit Magni 2 and AKG K612 Pro. It's currently sitting at my desk and I'm itching to try them out on AW.

It comes with a little adhesive magnetic mount that makes taking the mic on and off simple. 30 bucks or so can get you one usually.

I sent the mic to my workplace, but it came on a saturday so I've been without a mic. Sad times. My impressions so far: I can hear so more now than before. Sounds I can hear that I couldn't hear before or have become more defined: Exosuits being turned on and off; Exosuits expiring; Footsteps, but it has to be on a quiet map or away from loud machines (think biolab); Weapon switching; and Boosting at differing distances Overall these headphones are awesome as long as they're properly powered and I'm looking forward to playing more with them. If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask.
EffinFancy Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 Take a pic of the setup? Let me clean up a bit. I need some serious cable management!
