Zennon
Have you taken out any port forwarding rules you may of had in your HH before you got the duma? Is upnp enabled in the HH? this needs to be. Let the duma do the IP's automaticly so take out the statics.
Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted August 4, 2015 Netduma Staff Share Posted August 4, 2015 When i go onto my xbox one i now have a moderate nat type (this network is behind a upnp restrited network) BUT if i disable my geo filter it goes to open. Is there any way round this? Are there any padlocks or triangles when you have the GeoFilter enabled and you try to load the game? If you have a triangle, click on it, rate it to 100% and click update. Then put the ID in this thread If it is a padlock then just put the ID in that thread and you'll have to wait until it is added to the universal whitelist as you can't rate servers. zqa20
I reset to factory settings on my HH before setting up my netduma After disabling geofilter, and re doing the test, on my xb1. The netduma has added a new port in the upnp section. After re-enabling geo filter my nat seems to be staying open. Do you recommend adding all the xbox one ports in the port forwarding section? http://support.xbox.com/en-GB/xbox-360/networking/network-ports-used-xbox-live

It would use little bandwidth, but if you could i would say everything through the Duma but in this case you could get away with it.
zqa20
It's fine I've hooked everything up to the netduma. As for the static IP's i've set up for my xb1 and xbox 360 I got the IP from my xbox one and xbox 360 console and i just added the last 3 digits into the netduma (it accepted these numbers). Have i done this right? when i tried adding 3 random numbers it just said something about duplicate numbers

There shouldn't be any need to set Static IPs though - so unless you have reason for doing it, don't worry about it
zqa20
Could you quickly explain congestion control and lag compensation? when i'm playing the call of dutys from mw3 and onwards should i just set my upload and download to 10%? (i have 70 down and 20up). When i'm playing older call of duty's without lag comp should i just leave it at 100%?
PharmDawgg
Lag compensation is a feature of modern games that allows the engine to estimate where players would be, based on their ping. http://wiki.netduma.com/doku.php?id=cc_getting_started&s[]=congestion&s[]=control http://wiki.netduma.com/doku.php?id=cc_settings&s[]=congestion&s[]=control
bagsta69
id set it between 60 and 70%, lag comp is a very very very misunderstood animal. and please try to ignore pretty much everything that you have watched on youtube pertaining to it. Welcome aboard, I have BT infinity and got rid of the bt hh and just use the R1
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 5, 2015 Administrators Share Posted August 5, 2015 As bagsta says we recommend 70/70 and device prioritise your console as well, some people find lowering them helps but thats its there for so you can find the settings that best work for you
