We're aware Ping Optimizer isn't 100% reliable currently and we're looking to fix that for the next version. In the meantime you can adjust Congestion Control manually to achieve the same effect which can be found in Ping Optimizer > Advanced.

I did it @Netduma Fraser thank you 👍

Hi Fraser and Alex, when I connect the TIM modem to the Netduma R3 via PPPOE, the 5GHz WiFi doesn't lose any quality on the TV, but then it returns to normal.
However, if I connect the R3 via DHCP, this problem occurs with the 5GHz WiFi. I keep the bands separate. I have the official firmware 4.0.540.

I'm cascading the modem again via PPPOE on the Netduma R3.
I have a Fritzbox 7590 TIM Edition modem with the official FRITZOS 8.20.

Make sure you're using 80Mhz width for 5GHz not the higher value and see if it improves then

@Netduma Fraser

I had it set to automatic. But I don't understand why it doesn't cause problems in PPPOE but it does in DHCP.

It doesn't make any sense as they're just methods by which the router connect to the internet/your modem so it shouldn't affect WiFi at all. What do you mean by loses quality?
