Matthew_D Posted June 23, 2024 Posted June 23, 2024 is it worth using steady ping? if i have it off i get 15 ms an with it on i get 21 to 23 ms does it really make that much of a difference? it steadys my ping but sometimes can't ping the server
TrayDay Posted June 23, 2024 Posted June 23, 2024 It will differ from each user. Some may find it helps in their games, while others will see no improvement in using it. It's all about personal preference. I personally enjoy it. But, the majority of others, do not. Matthew_D 1
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 23, 2024 Administrators Posted June 23, 2024 Yeah pretty much the above. By having a consistent ping you're more in sync with the server so it should play better. Matthew_D 1
scbba Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago so with the steady ping will it help with the jitter at lets say hop 4 on your route? the jump is only 7ms but if the steady ping lets say gives you 25ms will the server feel like it soother with better hit detection or will it still feel like your shooting marshmellows?

If your ping fluctuates which is normal for it to do so then steady ping will give you a ping that it will keep the game at so you won't have any inconsistencies due to that variation of ping. It's not full proof, it doesn't always work as you're not always able to ping the game etc
