It's just been very inconsistent, I'm currently using 4.0.41 now, since I found the download on another forum and as it works better than the past 2 firmwares I used, the geofilter is hit and miss and my nat type for some reason is moderate. I've heard 4.0.23 is the most stable but I'm kinda waiting to hear from netduma themselves to provide their input cause they have all the firmwares and can send whatever one they see fit lol

Firmware 4.0.23 - this was an old beta firmware Fraser had sent to some users.

You can also request to get early access below

Is 4.0.41 the latest stable version? Because on the actual latest firmware it says it's still 4.0.23?

Yes

You can also request to get "early access" firmware below

Okay I just did, I'm currently on v4.0.41 but I've been having issues with my NAT Type being moderate as well as ping optimizer not working and Geo Filter is 80% of the time working. So I'm just trying to figure out which firmware versions bring me the most satisfaction as those are all the reasons I bought the R3 in the first place. I got rid of my mesh setup for this and I took a hit in the wifi range department for these features so to have them working would be nice lol

Place the PC/Console into the DMZ of R3.

Settings > port forwarding > add to DMZ.

Why do we have to do this tho? And what about upnp

I believe there are some hiccups with the current setup of UPnP that the Netduma Team has been working on.

The temporary solution right now, if playing on CONSOLE would be to use DMZ. If using a PC, you can try with caution. As your ports would be 'somewhat' vulnerable to possible man in the middle attack, to keep the description simple.

Thank you for this info, yes I'm somewhat familiar with DMZ and how vulnerable it leaves whatever IP Address is in it but that does seem to have opened my nat on ps5. So far I'm 80% satisfied with my purchase of the R3, I'm not going to lie though I expected a more stable and reliable product this go around. I had the xr500 back in the day and then the xr1000 and those worked somewhat but firmware was a s*** show on netgears part. It's a shame cause that could have setup a bright future. As we can see netgear provided the spec side and netduma provided the GUI Software side, we saw that with the xr1000 which is still better internally than the r3 lol. I wish they gave the R3 a 2.5gb Wan port too minor gripes I have lmao. Oh and another thing I have a mesh wifi system hooked up in AP Mode connected to the R3 with the R3 being the main router responsible for applying IP addresses and dhcp side of things as well only problem is when devices connect to the mesh system they don't pop up on the device manager but they are in the offline devices and as well as all the other categories settings like smart boost, network manager, and all that does this mean they are still being used by dumaos and the device manager is just glitched? Sorry for my long rant lol much appreciated 👏

Let us know how you get on, it's possible you'll still need to use DMZ/forwarding for the moment

Yea definitely still had to use dmz unfortunately 😕

Don't worry, we'll get it sorted, if you disable IPv6 in LAN/WAN it may help it work in this instance

I've actually downgraded back to 4.0.170 as I found geo filter as well as my connection to the internet to be more consistent. With 4.0.179 my connection kept dropping and youtube videos were buffering

If you have a console there is no need to be afraid of using DMZ
