Tru ELiTE
So, I have the Net Duma R3 for a good portion of time now. I'm connecting to the Virginia server on Halo Infinite. I live in Florida. I used to get 35 ping every game now I been getting 40+. What can I do to get better ping? thank you in advance. My ISP Comcast Xfinity - speed is 2 Gbps download and 235 Mbps upload. Proud R3 Owner
Disable steady ping coz it adds latency to try to make a more stable latency profile.
Tru ELiTE
Yes, Steady Ping is disable already. What else can be done?

Turning off Geo latency and ping assist (setting it to 0) can help but that might just be for your Geo fence. I've also read where people have turned off smart boost as well. Sentinel82
I noticed you are still on FW 4.0.20 try install FW 4.0.41 see if that works. I'm connecting to the Australia server. I live in NZ and I get 28 ping on average if not less every game. Disable both geo latency and Steady off. Ping assist 0-

swippur
You have to make sure steady ping is disabled.. there’s a bug with steady ping and it gets enabled again by itself without you touching it. Especially if you like to reboot the router alot. So I would suggest making sure it’s disabled before you start every gaming session. And if you can test the ping with another router vs netduma r3 that would help to pinpoint any other problems.
Tru ELiTE
i tried that, I get an error message.
Tru ELiTE
yea I'm aware about the steady ping bug. I watch every server I connect to while playing Halo. xbox with monitor is right next to my laptop which I have r3 dashboard open while play. i got my eye on that steady ping when I do reboot I seen it reset. Anyone one playing has anything so say about the congestion control mode?
