justin peryea Posted March 15, 2024 Posted March 15, 2024 just couple things speed test not right with upload congestion control not working I keep getting around the same speed i turn off the 3rd party and i use fast.com congestion control works and i use waveform and it doesn't work and I pay for 1000 upload only getting 200
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 15, 2024 Administrators Posted March 15, 2024 Do you have Speed Test Bypass disabled or enabled? Have you adjusted the Congestion Control percentages?
justin peryea Posted March 15, 2024 Author Posted March 15, 2024 disable and yes its weird cause fast.com works but still upload is low
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 15, 2024 Administrators Posted March 15, 2024 What percentage are you using for upload and what results is it giving you? What is the model of the modem/router the R3 is connected to and how have you set that to ensure all traffic flows to the R3? E.g. R3 in its DMZ, modem/bridge mode
justin peryea Posted March 16, 2024 Author Posted March 16, 2024 I have upload at 100 and I have verzion fiber so I don't have a modem my old xr500 was doing the same thing
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 16, 2024 Administrators Posted March 16, 2024 Okay gotcha, so XR plugged directly into wall/ont? Are you using PPPoE/VLAN/IPv6 or DHCP identifiers for a connection?
justin peryea Posted March 16, 2024 Author Posted March 16, 2024 ya in the wall I think I have ipv6 on
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 16, 2024 Administrators Posted March 16, 2024 Could you disable IPv6 and then see if it works as expected please?
justin peryea Posted March 21, 2024 Author Posted March 21, 2024 where is ipv6 and I called my internet and they say nothing wrong and I did a ping optimization and now my congestion control is grayed out my speeds r a slow download 600 out of gig and upload 200 out of a gig
04tsx Posted March 21, 2024 Posted March 21, 2024 Yes. That’s what u want disabled. Enable smartboost. That’s why ur cc is greyed out
justin peryea Posted March 21, 2024 Author Posted March 21, 2024 speed test a little better 800/300 any more suggestions
justin peryea Posted March 21, 2024 Author Posted March 21, 2024 verzion speed test 800/300 router speed test 602/151
04tsx Posted March 21, 2024 Posted March 21, 2024 Disabled lan as well. Same like u did on wan… disable ad blocker. Then under smartboost settings allow third party app to by pass cc… trying to think off the top of my head… that could be under ping optimizer settings. Sorry. Just at work and can’t access it
justin peryea Posted March 21, 2024 Author Posted March 21, 2024 no worries thank u still the same close on my download way off on upload
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 21, 2024 Administrators Posted March 21, 2024 In Settings > Troubleshooting > Advanced disable the protection options and check again please
Stilts29 Posted March 21, 2024 Posted March 21, 2024 3 minutes ago, justin peryea said: which one? All of them @justin peryea I would imagine. I'm getting same as you, upload off, download ok. Have been told in past its a PPOE related and they will try to get speeds higher. I don't think its cable or service but could be a factor for some. My XR500 never managed to get the proper speeds either with connection direct to the ONT
justin peryea Posted March 21, 2024 Author Posted March 21, 2024 turned them all off upload got 50 better but still way off download is 850
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 21, 2024 Administrators Posted March 21, 2024 What is the upload you pay for? Are you using PPPoE?
justin peryea Posted March 21, 2024 Author Posted March 21, 2024 I pay for a gig both ways it's like the congestion control not working I get the same speeds with speed test bypass off
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted March 21, 2024 Administrators Posted March 21, 2024 Nothing to do with Congestion Control. If you were using PPPoE you'd have put credentials in to get a connection. Have you definitely disabled IPv6 in LAN & WAN as I can see you're still getting an IPv6 address
