We haven't pushed the firmware and we won't at the moment, it's being tested, once I'm happy with it I'll let people try it tomorrow.

@Netduma FraserCould you please send me 4.0.40 as well, once it is ready. Thank you.

it the low ping king channel spoiling every thing

pls also count me in

😆 Wasn't trying to get everybody in a tizzy.

Wanted to make sure everyone knew how to go through the update process. Especially because this is the first big push of the year.

When the update shows up for you guys be sure to factory reset when you're done. I know going back to complex setups with multiple devices can be a bit of a headache. Just make sure you do that before reporting any bugs.

Thanks

Scott

Appreciate you mentioning that, but Fraser has mentioned that it is no longer necessary to factory reset though. So if bugs were found, and if there are others who have reported the same issue, I'm reporting it as is unless told specifically to factory reset which I'd hate to go through with the tonnes of Home Automation devices and family devices that is connected to the router.

From the video released on YouTube, yes, it is listed both in the changelog and then it can also be seen in the settings

Can confirm, Fortnite on Xbox is no longer working.  This is the same bug that happened before.

Sigh.

Spins on Logging in with Downloading keychain.  Also, Xbox is reporting moderate now after this FW.

Factory reset and power chopped after install.

This FW fixed all of my other issues, but now cant play the only game I play.

It's highly likely this is a regression of an issue we had previously unfortunately, I'm going to see if I can reproduce the issue myself and find a workaround, I'll come back to you.

I had luck connecting via wifi. Ethernet just won’t at all. Unlucky for my son he can’t use wifi on his pc so he had to grind cod with me all night 🤣

It is the regression so I'll get the team to fix it

Can there be a way for us Fortnite users to apply to get this fix asap?  Can I get R3 firmware beta testing access?  I only play Fortnite so when an issue like this happens I’d be able to identify and report it right away.  The entire beta testing team seems to have missed this issue which tells me none of them play Fortnite.

I just wanna be able to identify this issue before people wait a few weeks for a major FW update only to find they have to revert.

Side note:  My R3 runs a lot cooler on .40 FW.  Tested 30 minutes after my initial update.  But now Im back on .23 and it is way hotter.  I’d like to be using .40 but I can’t play Fortnite

Well to be fair they had less than 24 hours to try it, I released it earlier than we would have usually due to growing impatience for the update. We know exactly what the issue is at we previously fixed it so won't take long to resolve.
