@Netduma Fraser Hello Fraser! I hope that you had a good relaxing Christmas. Might I ask to have a go with this beta firmware? I'm not having a problem per se, however I am noticing a few oddities with online gaming. I would like to see if this will help.

Thanks, hope you did too. Sent!

Can I get the latest firmware too?
Am currently happy with the temporary solution that @titofuenla provided. Many thanks again @titofuenla
Hope the team gets their well deserved rest. Happy holidays!

Wow! This is great! Finally Ping Optimizer is working as it should!

Low Latency = Ignores Smart QOS bandwidth numbers and CC percentages and go full tilt of your internet connection. (Test is when not gaming)
So even though I set a 1000 down and 550 up, it went past that and set both to my ISP's max speeds as it should. So 900+ down and 900+ up
(Only issue left is the extremely high latency when upload is set higher than 70%. Am still getting over 150ms when upload is busy bufferbloat test)

Auto = Follow Smart QOS bandwidth numbers that you've entered but doesn't follow CC percentages. (Test is when not gaming) As what it should be. So 900+ down and 550 up
(As I input 1000 down and 550 up in Smart QOS)

Always On =  Applies both Smart QOS bandwidth numbers and the CC percentages. (Test is when not gaming) And as it suggests, applies your percentage limit. In my case, am getting 690 down and 550 up
(As I set a 69% limit for down and 100% limit for up to get literally 0ms increase for both up and down from my idle latency numbers of 5ms. And since in Smart QOS, I still set it to 550 up to avoid the 150+ms latency for up.)

Seriously a brilliant idea to allow us to have 3 options to play with. So it's just a matter of me switching between Low Latency or Auto when not gaming to take advantage of the high speeds for file transfers and YouTube downloads and whatnot or enjoying the low latency that my Smart QOS bandwidth numbers provide at the same time.

Seriously many thanks for the .23 firmware. Wish I'd have requested it sooner. Can't wait for the R3 Early Access forums to make this process easier. 👍

Hey! I'd like to try the beta firmware too, if possible. I've observed a few games such as The Finals and EFT not being recognised by the geo-filter and am curious to see if it'd work with it.

Steady Ping won't work for every game, we should make that more clear.

It doesn't even work for the game's listed under the same area of the Geo Filter for when adding devices. Or maybe it doesn't work for PC players, hard to tell. Also not sure why the slider is there for the Expert area of Steady Ping since it doesn't matter what it is set to. With the few games I've tried all it does is increase ping by 7-10 ms regardless of what the slider is set to. It's like it ignores it entirely and if Steady Ping is never actually able to "stabilize" why does it still function or act like it is enabled by increasing your ping? If it can't do it shouldn't it automatically disable that part? Otherwise it's just inflating your ping for no reason is it not?

Just curious, if I have the Netduma R3 dedicated to only wire on my PC with no other devices including WiFi disabled, which would be the best setting to use? I presume disabling SmartQOS as well because only the PC is connected to the router with absolutely no other devices.

Thanks in advance.

In your case, if only one PC will be connected, you could perfectly deactivate Smartboost.

Can i also get the firmware

I'd also like to try out this beta firmware. I don't think the Geo Filter is working on Modern Warfare 3 for me on 4.0.21.

I don't get what you mean at the beginning, can you clarify? Are you setting it up prior to launching the game? Is it showing stabilized - if not then it won't be applying the extra ping

I mean yeah the device doesn't need to compete with anything else on the R3 so you could disable this
