UFC Champion Ronda Rousey is a Beast.

Fought bums??  She has fought everyone they have offered her and we are still waiting to see her bloodied and looking worried.  She signed to fight Cyborg before Tito got involved and wanted all the weight variations and contract BS, so we can't blame Rhonda for that fiasco.

Cyborg is a heavy puncher, but she doesn't have the groundwork that Rhonda has, so she better hope she lands early & often if she ever gets cleared to fight AND can make the weight.

Yeah and Dillinger is right.  I want to see how she does when the competition get alot tougher.

Cyborg will mash her up i hope, i cant stand Rousey she is up her own arse and pretentious.

I was wondering if I had been out of the loop, so I had to look into this for a quick minute and get some facts.

Rousey has had 4 title defenses, with four wins (3 KO's and one Submission), in less than 1:30 seconds of ring time.  I don't care who you are, that is a UFC World Title, not even Matt Hughes has numbers like that, and he was THE GOAT.

It's not like she is "ducking" people to take on an easy fighter and struggling.  She is taking who they give her, making them look easy, but let's look at the list.

  • Correia was 9-1 for the fight, thought her last fight was against Shayna Bazler, who isn't exactly on the top of her game right now
  • Zingano has her own style of BBJ was 9-0, and she beat Miesha Tate, so that fight makes since given how well Tate did her second fight against Rousey
  • "Alley-Gator" Davis had journeyman numbers for fights, but at 16-5 she wasn't exactly fighting the best of the best, though she had won against Liz Carmouche, another Rousey victim
  • Sara McMann was 7-0 when she fought Rousey.  She wasn't exactly fighting a who's who, but she did beat Lauren Murphy and Shayna Bazler

She is now looking for a THIRD fight with Meisha Tate, which isn't going to sell any tickets.  Cyborg just fought someone and won in about :45 seconds, but she was like 5-1, fighting office workers and baristas before her title fight in Invicta, so it's not like Cyborg is facing the toughest opponents lately.

I think Ronda is exactly what the female division, and frankly the UFC, need right now to remain at the "top" of the "fights for entertainment dollars" heap.

I mean, who the hell do they have right now?!  Let's run through the list.

Matt Hughes was the GOAT, sold a lot of tickets, but the competition caught up with him

Chuck Liddell was their poster boy, got retired with the swiftness after competition caught up with him

Lesnar was dominant, got some tummy trouble, and left to pursue pro wrestling again

Cro-Cop just got clowned and became irrelevant

Alistair Overeem got clowned and suspended

Wanderlai Silva has the worst record of anyone STILL in the UFC

Jon Jones can't stop screwing up and taking drugs

GSP tears up his division, gets into a mental funk and "retires"

Anderson Silva got destroyed, and then got destroyed again

I mean honestly, out of this champions roster, who are you buying a ticket for $500 plus, or buying a PPV to see fight?

Excellent read. I'm not a Rousey fanboy but I am a fan. She is doing somethings that even the men haven't accomplished. I haven't been this excited since 'Iron' Mike Tyson. Lol.

Agreed.  She finishes fights.  And she does it better and better, each time she steps in the ring.  Is she out there driving drunk and kicking people's asses in the streets?  No.  She's doing cover shoots and starring in movies.  I find her fights WORTH buying, because I know I am getting a champion who is going to try and WIN, instead of holding on long enough to meek out a decision.

I thought this was funny as shit.

Love her or hate her, right now no one can even come close (or ever will) to matching her judo and her hands continue to get better every outing. She is a dominant champion, kinda hard to hate on her cuz she's good. She can only fight who she's matched up with, good or bad but she still destroys anyone in front of her.

I trained MMA for about 7 years at Dan Severn's gym when he was UFC heavyweight champion.Sparred with him and Don Frey many nights. And like any other sport MMA is no different, your only on top for so long and then the next big star comes along. At the time Matt Huges was untouchable,George St Pierre untouchable,Anderson Silva untouchable,Rampage (in pride) untouchable,Fedor (in pride) untouchable...my point is everyone has their reign and then the next up and coming bright star beats said untouchable and that person becomes untouchable, wash, rinse, repeat. That's the way it is in all sports, nobody's on top forever.

But like I said i have a pretty strong background in the sport and no one right now can compete with her ground game.Everyone knows her finishing move is an armbar but people still get caught in it,even thou they know it's coming. It's all about how you set it up.When I was fighting i would tell people MMA is not checkers,it's chess, always thinking 2 or 3 moves ahead... :D

I saw a news report that said, and mind you this was an American girl fighting a Brazilian, IN BRAZIL.  The odds were such for this fight that you needed to bet $2,000 on Ronda winning, just to make $100 profit.  If you called a first round finish, you won about $100 and change....LOL

She's come to the UFC  to chew bubble gum and kick ass  and UFC female fighters I'm sorry to say she's all out of bubble gum.

LOL - And don't bother crying, it won't do you any good. :P

I heard some news today about cyborg and sorry to disappoint you guys but there ain't no way in hell she and Rowdy are gonna fight. She's walking around between 175 and 180,she'll never make the weight or pass the drug test. And Rowdy already said she won't fight her at a catch weight,so IMO that fight ain't gonna happen.

But on the up side I heard there was a porn coming out starring Rhonda Arouse me and Misha Taint... :D

I don't know if you've seen her lately but she is huge and peeled at 175-180,so let's just call a spade a spade and say she ain't passing no drug test. She looks like the axe murderer (Mr Silva) but in female form.
