WZ2/MW2 Change Region

I have been able to alter my location within MW2019/WZ1 for the past year or so using Hybrid VPN and the ports etc.

 

Since WZ2/MW2 has launched this same method hasn't worked. I have seen posts recently with new ports to be using and again that doesn't seem to work.

 

I connect my PS5 to my XR500 via Ethernet and the only new addition to my setup is moving to a new broadband provider who provide ultra fast fibre via IPV6, so wondering if that may be the issue here?

 

My HybridVPN connect as normal with no issues so it cannot be my VPN.

 

Any ideas as I am losing my mind here.

Quite possible that they have blocked known VPN IP addresses, they'll know what people are doing

What new Ports can I try? I am still using my old ones, but I feel SBMM kicks even stronger with them

you just have to prioritize port 443 tcp/upd. that is the only port that the game uses to connect to the servers. the 3074 is used to open the nat type.

Hi, i just wanted to add same ports to my r2 but when i write 3074 to destination section it automatically wrote 68608 to end section. How can i add these ports ? Thanks

You do so in the Traffic Prioritization section on the QoS page, not on Port Forwarding

I used a vpn on certain ports on WZ1 and up until today it has also been working for wz2. In game it’s still saying that I am wherever I set the vpn but it doesn’t seem to be finding a game. It starts searching at 19ms and goes up but never finds a game. I turned the vpn off and it found a game straight away so I’m guessing they’ve changed something.

Which ports are you using @RobBob? I cannot seem to get it to change location in game anymore yet never had this issue with previous Call of Duty games.

I’m still using the same ones from ages ago. Can’t remember which they are but there’s more 3074 and 443. I’ll get a pic in a bit. I actually tried a different server earlier and it found a game after about 5 - 10 mins. I don’t think it makes the lobby any easier anymore though. I died to a ttv guy and the last few alive seemed quite good

Source1 to 65535  destination 443 to 443 tcp

Same thing here. Been using port 443 only until this point and it been working fine. Not anymore though. Anyone know the correct ports?

 

Also, whenever i use port 3074 ill get an moderate nat :s

As exhibited by @Netduma Fraser, there is a good chance that he (activision) is banned from the ip used by the vpn!... for more parity... and ++++benefits!

Im just saying that the ports i listed are the ports the game cod mw2 is using  from my testing

 When i used a vpn in the beta  i never used  ports  

 I just   used vpn on udp

 My vpn was working  before  but i have  hidemyass vpn  its old but it was working for me without changing anything

 But that was in beta
