Knomax
Hello....my problem is that congestion control seems to doesnt work at all.. I run a speedtest with built in engine of ps3.....it shows 18.1Mbps download and 3.1Mbps upload. The settings of congestion control is Device Prioritisation of ps3 set to 90% and my PC to 10%. Everything seems to be ok but when i try to run speedtests in the same time in both Pc and ps3 my Pc seems to take a lot of bandwidth and ps3 speed drops to 3,4Mbps or less!!! Zennon
The device prioritisation is for upload at the moment in a future firmware update you will be able to change the download speeds. At the moment the CC works by inputting your speeds in to set bandwidth tab then setting to 70% each way to stop local congestion whigh raises your ping making lag. iAmMoDBoX
Same thing happens on my PS4, and I believe under the test results it says "Connection speeds are estimates only" Besides that there are some issues going on with Playstation Network at the moment (especially in Europe, which is where you are I believe)

At the moment the CC works by inputting your speeds in to set bandwidth tab then setting to 70% each way to stop local congestion whigh raises your ping making lag. So if device priorisation is for upload only...why i must have download at 70%???? The guide recommends both bars in CC to set in 70%. When i put download cap at 100% and run speedtest in both machines..ps3 gets acceptable download speed....about 13Mbps and about 3.1Mbps upload speed. But upload speed in ps3 drops to 583kbps only...even i have it in device priorisation at 85% and my pc at 14%. Upload cap at 70%...... If i set upload cap at 100% and device priorisation of ps3 as i say at 85% and run again speedtest at both machines..again pc takes it all. Thats why i say that it doesnt work at all.....pc always take all the bandwidth regardless of what settings i have in R1.

Zennon
You set the CC at 70% so there is headroom left on your connection to prevent pings rising if somebody else was to use your network. http://wiki.netduma.com/doku.php?id=cc_settings&s[]=congestion
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted July 17, 2015 Administrators Share Posted July 17, 2015 Further to MoD BoX post, console speed tests are very unreliable, I would focus on what a PC speed test says instead.
Knomax
Ok i understand Another question ...in internet diagnosis all is Exceptional except ping...ping says ok even if i am wired or wireless...what can i do to decrease it? I run many times benchmarks to find the best servers to use....my ps3 is with wired connection..cat6 cable...i have done portforward the ports it its needed...i dont know if i must do anything more to decrease it. Have you any advice?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted July 17, 2015 Administrators Share Posted July 17, 2015 That test disconnects all your devices from the Internet, so it can indicate problems with your line which you can then use the details of to go to your ISP if necessary to see if they can fix it. Whats your avg ping on that test? You can see if you click show details.

Zennon
You can not alter your own ping per say , what is your base ping as shown in the Internet diagnostics. ? As long as it is not a congestion or line fault...... If you live in the UK there is DLM On Bt equipment so sky talk talk etc all rent space in the cab's and use BT's dynamic line management. A few things can be done there have a G.inp compatible modem/ router and you will be put on to fast path when your cab is enabled. Make sure your home wiring is top notch so you do not have disconnects or drop out causing the DLM to put you on a Interleaved profile if you do not have G.inp. Apart from that it is out of yours and the ISP's hands if the line is stable. If your line is flapping then you can get your isp to look in to it.
