Vpn help please

Im thinking of using a paid a vpn or preferbaly a free vpn

With either of my 3 routers

Netdumar1  or Netdumar2  or  xr500

I mainly want  the vpn to watch epl on peacock tv

From the uk  england is my location

As i love to watch football live man utd games

I  recently found out about a  streaming app called peacok tv

 

I would like to try it as its geo blocked  its only avalible to the us  region

Im total newbie on this subject

All advice welcome

Some streaming services block VPNs so Peacock may be one of them, in which case most likely any free VPNs would definitely be blocked. What advice are you looking for specifically? In theory all you need to do is get a VPN, connect to it on the router and then apply it to the device you want to use.

Ide like to know what vpns are compateble with your routers

Id would like to install the vpn into your router os  so the router does the vpn

 I know years ago on my older fws  you could do this

 

So i want dumar router to  vpn any of my devices  like it did ages ago

It can still do that, any VPN provider that supports OpenVPN and provides you with the configuration files should work just fine

Can you change  locations of the  servers on the fly  using it  from the routrer itself

Or does it have to be done on the config file  manually

As im not  keen on the config method

So i would like to get a vpn that works from dumar os that i  can change  servers on the fly / easily

 

Also i would like for it to have multiple users

Also unlimted acsess

preferbally from uk but i aint sure it that matter or not

any recomendations welcome

We did initially have this option for PureVPN and HMA, however with the frequency that modern VPN providers modify their config files, it makes it really difficult to maintain this approach.

When you say multiple users, are you referring to multiple devices on the home network? If so you can do that by adding them to the VPN traffic section.

Can you also explain what you mean by unlimited access? There's no limits in DumaOS as to how much traffic you can send through the VPN.

It says its unlimited devices i think its compatable with the  dumar os

 

Sorrry liam what i meant by unlimited acess is can i share a vpn with a few friend or family member who are not on my network

Sorry i explained it wronglyalso if im getting it correct if i wanna change the server location i have to reinstall a new config file is that correct i was hopeing not

In theory you could share the config files with friends and family if you wanted to and they could set it up on their devices, though that's more a question about your account to ask your provider.

Currently yes, the change VPN location you'll need to change the configuration file in the VPN Setup.

Will hma work on your  vpn   settings page on jy xr500 

 

I  know i can  gget surfshark wotking on dumar os but for me its to complicated

There's some unreliability with the two services provided in the basic setup, HMA and PureVPN. We'd always suggest, at least for the time being, using the advanced configuration to setup your VPN. I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to guarantee that HMA would be any easier for you than your current VPN provider.
