Hybrid VPN (NoLag, NordVPN) to get easy lobbies... Really works?

In my case (I am 1.3 KD player) it doesn't make any (or a big) difference. What is your case?

I'm like .9 k/d and it takes 5-10 minutes to find a match.  Then my run ins with cheaters seemed to be two or three times more likely.

I tried forcing near by servers and no geo filter.  Didn't seem to matter to me.

Changing your GEO is supposed to break the SBMM, but there has to be more to it.  Or I am still doing something wrong.  I feel like I have much more EOMM than who I'm matched up with.  I didn't play for a couple days then the first game back I was beaming people.  Then within 2 more games it was back to running in mud, emptying mags into people, and barely getting shot to go down.

Works for me whenever i use it. Not gonna tell you how to do it but if you set it up right the results can be interesting

do you vpn the whole device (ps5/xbox) or specific ports

 

certain members doesn't seem to offer any help just seems to comment everytime this topic comes up so i'm unsure if there is a way that's not currently listed on the forum 

 

this is a forum to try and help each other . 

 

you can try adding certain ports that just change your geo but your ping stays the same( maintain connection to local server but in game show a diff country) or else vpn the whole device but have a higher ping(actually in that country on their server eg USA).

zman, what is the KD to the lobbies you get with your right set up?

Hi, You have a KD less than 1, from what I understand.

You are very unlikely to find lobbies with a lower KD. These players don't play the game... At best you will find players who cheat on the sbmm or whatever...(not all inclusive of the spoofing process)...

I don't necessarily need easier lobbies.  I need EOMM disabled or turned down.  For some reason my EOMM is really high.  I don't want to bother with reverse boosting.  And k/d doesn't define everything.  I generally play for the win and not high kills.  

 

Half the fun was playing with my friends.  But they have pretty much all quit.  So I'm struggling to want to play because EOMM is cranked up on me.

It works, not all the time as time goes on, more and more people are setting up a VPN, but I can clearly say it works and I get lobbies from 0.80 to 1.10.

Thanks for the info. It's very good know that it is working. Could you share how you setting up your VPN in Net duma? Wich country are you VPNing?

Server doesnt matter as long as you chose one that is "far" away from your current location, since you are still connecting to your local servers and only let the game believe, you have a bad connection so it skipps sbmm

To be clear: The VPN service doesn't matter...as long as the server is far from your location and your VPN is efficient! port 443 truncates your location and removes lag compensation! port 3074 or other depending on your platform removes the sbmm! The information has been on the internet for x time... On the other hand, do not expect a radical change, it remains very controversial!

I got shadow banned doing this yesterday. worked fine for 3 weeks or so, now i cant play until they decide if its actually bannable or not. ive never hacked or had anything installed that could trigger an anticheat, so this or mass reporting from players would be the only thing.

As an update to this, I was un shadow banned after 6 days. Then shadow banned again 3 days later. This time for only 1 day. So this didn't trigger it but it seems like it happened possibly when switching regions after a few hours? is there a recommended amount of time to wait before switching or loading back into a game? I always fully close out of the game, but usually don't wait to load back in after I switch it. its probably just user reports but I'm hoping to learn what's actually causing it.

Are you using a VPN to get around SBMM then? If so it may be that they're cracking down on it or that you're more likely to be reported by players if you're dominating them

My kd is around 3.8 in Vanguard and 3.21 in MW 

the tips i can provide to reduce sbmm is to lock yourself in only one specific server

by that you will be matchmaked with limited group of people. And games/sbmm are forced to find whatever lobbies with enough players for you

in my case I live in Bangkok 

my closest server is in Singapore. So I forced my game to only find sg servers within that area. Otherwise it would matchmake me to sydney servers or Japanese servers with skillful people. 
 

and tips not to get shoot first die first. 
- get high bandwidth isp. For me its 1000/1000

- try to be alone in the network. I always put 5g on my phone instead of wifi to make my network as smooth as possible 

- if family members have to use wifi, limit their bandwidth. For instance I have another asus wifi router which everyone in my house connected to. And i use asus’s traditional qos to limit their bandwidth by device. I gave 30mbps to each. 
 

- for qos setting. I slow down a lil bit because some games’ netcode are too instant. I throttled down download bw to 70 and upload to 99. This will give mili sec time for old people like me to react. 
You can always turn off and have good experience if you are fast and young enough. 
for me i get avg 2.5kd doing that. But with qos on i get avg kd of 3+

yeah, mainly attempting to help my friends actually enjoy playing still. the sbmm has been crazy the last few months, even for my friends who are casual style players. initially everything worked fine for 3 weeks. more than likely is from just being reported 😕 thanks for the help
