Ameryjr Posted April 15, 2022 Share Posted April 15, 2022 What would you guys use for traffic prioritization? -DumaOs classified games- (DEEP PACKET INSPECTION) Or -Games Console- Port based! plus ability to apply tags to wan! When you guys are gaming and devs please chime in! What do you guys use and why? After experimenting with both for months... I gotta say DPI feels so much better than Games Console. I am on lan and I did apply to wan and select normal. I'm on PS4. Even though the ps4 is based on ports... Using the other methods will sometimes allow unnecessary things to be prioritized, saying that I know a lot of people like specifying ports so really it's just whatever works for you and your connection! Back using the earlier firmware for the R2, before you could select apply to wan/normal etc. I haven't experienced a connection like that at all with any firmware since they introduced the other options. I've tried reverting back to all the older firmware but I couldn't get the congestion control/traffic prio page to load at all. I still need to find what settings work for me with the new firmware. When it comes to traffic prioritization for gaming, it depends on personal preference and the devices you're using. As for me, I'm not too familiar with DPI or port-based prioritization, but it sounds like you've experimented with both and found that DPI works better for you. It's great that you're on PS4 and have found DumaOS Classified games to be the winner! Oh, and one more thing - does bingo cash pay? According to the review I mentioned earlier, it does!
