Where did you set the MTU exactly? Did you ensure you chose a value that doesn't cause fragmentation?

In the Wan setting on my XR. In order for me to test if there is fragmentation I need to change the MTU value and when i change it, I get no internet access

You can test the MTU using this guide: https://kb.netgear.com/19863/Ping-Test-to-determine-Optimal-MTU-Size-on-Router

Does your connection require PPPoE? A moderator recently reported it causing a lot of problems with hit registration.

If you can have another router handle PPPoE instead that could help

I have an Asus rtac5300 that could run PPPoE. How would I setup the XR thou? Would it have a Dhcp conflict?

There wouldn't be a conflict, you can copy the WAN IP from the System Information page on the XR once it's connected to the Asus and then put it in the Asus DMZ, that will allow you to have an Open NAT, then see if it performs better.

Did you try it, what did you find?

I just played my first game and the difference is night and day, bullet reg is almost instant. Let's see if it continues this way in different lobbies.

Two games later, it the worst connection I have had in the last month. I have played 5 more games and it's terrible

If it changes that extremely then I doubt there is an issue on your side at all

It's like the more I play the worst the reg gets. It feels like the router gets filled up
