Jacques
I had duoble nat again. I put it back the R1 to my main router. But its still slow down my netspeed. xD So boring. https://www.speedtest.net/result/12395962075
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 29, 2021 Administrators Share Posted November 29, 2021 Did you give the R1 a static/reserved IP on the other router? If not every time you reboot the R1 or the other router the IP will change and you'll need to re-enter it. Do that and you won't have the issue again. Make sure ALL devices are connected to the R1 as well.
Jacques
The R1 is a MikroTik Router. https://mikrotik.com/product/RB951G-2HnD Can you give me a firmware from them? I wanna try their firmware. I can download from this link, they called it RouterBoot firmware? There are two files, an .npk and an .fwf. Can I upgrade these files somehow? I think it has QoS too. Worth a try. And if there is a download issue too, that means its a device problem. Later can I upgrade back to your DumaOS?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 30, 2021 Administrators Share Posted November 30, 2021 No you're not able to put those firmware versions on and if you were able to do so you certainly would not be able to get DumaOS back.
Jacques
Just to be clear...   X = All device data transfer         Y = Allocated bandwith for gaming OR is it the oposite? cuz now I trick the QoS with false data. I set the bandwith speed to 1000/100... and the last two days I got my full internet speed. When I set it my real 140/10 my download speed is below 10. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted December 2, 2021 Administrators Share Posted December 2, 2021 X = Yes, Y = Not specifically, it's bandwidth that is held in reserve and can't be used. That's odd but if that's what works for you that's great.
Jacques
Sadly, not working either. I just made a test right now: https://www.speedtest.net/result/12416392188 I dont get it why always 8/10 after 2-3 days. 😢 I bought this device in 2019. sept... how many months is the warranty? And where should I return back in the EU If I decide it worth to repair?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted December 3, 2021 Administrators Share Posted December 3, 2021 Which firmware are you on currently? I assume these are all ethernet tests? Disable the protection options in WAN Settings as they can speed it up. Do you use PPPoE, IPv6 or DHCP identifiers? The R1 has a year warranty, we also don't sell the router anymore to process a replacement.
Jacques
R1 3.0.207. I dont use IPv6, and i dont use username and password to my ips. I dont know what DHCP identifiers are.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted December 5, 2021 Administrators Share Posted December 5, 2021 Disable the port scan protection as well please, now with them disabled what are your speeds like?
