Sindonesia Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 Something has changed, I've been in some matches with a ping around 15-40 now.
Guest Netduma_Iain Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 Great news glad to hear it! I suspect it may be short lived in that its the time of day. But fingers crossed its not
Sindonesia Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 I don't want to jinx it but It's been awesome. Thanks!
Adam Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 psn is having all sorts of trouble again, sony finally admitted it this morning https://twitter.com/PlayStation/status/552712945332137984
wrathoftank Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 psn is having all sorts of trouble again, sony finally admitted it this morning https://twitter.com/PlayStation/status/552712945332137984 I wonder why? DDOS, or to much traffic?
Sindonesia Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 I don't think they will ever figure out how to fix the PSN.
abc123 Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 I don't think they will ever figure out how to fix the PSN. Not until they hire a whole new network infrastructure team.
wrathoftank Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 Not until they hire a whole new network infrastructure team. Wouldn't the issues largely be resolved if they invested in more bandwidth?
Jman Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 Not starting a debate or anything but they could ditch skill based matchmaking
abc123 Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 Wouldn't the issues largely be resolved if they invested in more bandwidth? Bandwidth isn't the best solution, there are a lot of methods that work...more bandwidth is one so you don't get DDoS'd as easily... But trust me they seem to be flawed from a networking standpoint, adding more bandwidth would only be a bandaid they need to fix a lot. Agreed bandwidth is one of those things.
Sindonesia Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 After the first day troubles I was having, things are so much better now. I don't know what changed but I like it. If I get in a match with a ping of 20-80, I feel pretty confident I'm going to have my way in the match. With that ping range it allows me to rush without fear of being behind. Thanks again for the help I received and for such an amazing product.
Guest Netduma_Iain Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 Awesome!!!! So glad you're having a good time
Sindonesia Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Back to having issues, I have been unable to find a local host and when I do I keep getting kicked. This is happening on XB1 and PS4, when I get in the matches I have serious ping issues. See attached link
fuzzy clam Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 @ sindonesia if it's happening on your ps4 it might be PSN cuz the same thing was happening to me last night.Massive spikes and had trouble finding a host. But Friday night it ran like a champ.Maybe XBL is having problems too
Sindonesia Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 It's happening on both systems. Friday and Saturday were pretty good but all day has been garbage and unplayable. When I say unplayable I mean once you play with Netduma you don't want to go back to the old way.
fuzzy clam Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Yea i got a good taste of duma magic on friday night and then last night it was back to unstable connections and the game being out of sink.Let's just say last night's gaming session was pretty short.
BigBen Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 I had problems on X1 too yesterday, I think it was DDOS again
Matty Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 problem today and yestarday for me on X1 low ping but extreme compensation
Guest Netduma_Iain Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Hi Matty, if you're getting low ping its operating as it should. What was the issue?
Matty Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 i ping 50 - 60 ms, but in game i find the same issues (one hit kill, bad hit detection etc)
Guest Netduma_Iain Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Oh right 50-60ms is I'd a say a medium connection. What do you set your distance to?
