rjaaayyy
I keep getting party encountered error on Xbox, sometimes I can fix it for a day or 2. Then when I play cod and try to join randoms, it will boot me and say party encountered error either right away, or a bit later. I’ve tried everything Xbox support said.. so I’m kinda running out of options.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 30, 2021 Administrators Share Posted January 30, 2021 You need to add your friends or anyone to your allow list that you want to invite to a party chat and then they will no longer be blocked by your Geo-Filter and you can connect to them regardless of your settings. rjaaayyy
it hasnt mattered, even if im in party with friends who are allowed, it will happen, then when i play with randoms and squad up, i put it to spectate and still allow but i still get it often enough to be a pest. I already talked to xbox suppport and done every step, no resolve and they said talk to ISP they did some resetting. So router techs only people left haha. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 9, 2021 Administrators Share Posted February 9, 2021 If you delete the device fully from the Geo-Filter does it work at all? What Xbox are you using and what router and firmware version?
rjaaayyy
deleting didnt matter, and regular xbox one. xr500 nighthawk, and latest firmware version V2.3.2.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 10, 2021 Administrators Share Posted February 10, 2021 What does the console network settings say your NAT type is and what does the game say? What is your exact physical setup? I.e. what is the model of modem/router that the XR is connected to?
rjaaayyy
nat type open on xbox and in game. I have xr500 nighthawk router connected with ethernet to the xbox about 3ft away.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 11, 2021 Administrators Share Posted February 11, 2021 If you connect directly to your modem/ISP hub, do you still get the same issue?
rjaaayyy
yes i do, ISP said everything was okay on their end and updated my IP. Xbox also gave me every single step and no permanent fix.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 12, 2021 Administrators Share Posted February 12, 2021 If it doesn't work direct to the modem then there isn't really anything the router can do to fix that. It could be worth trying a VPN to a local server to bypass the ISP routing and see if that works.
rjaaayyy
ya i just not sure what else to do, wether its on filtered or specatating, and naming and allowing friends, it will still happen. Any idea why? even though all my nat types are open

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 15, 2021 Administrators Share Posted February 15, 2021 Have you tried the instant on paragraph? Otherwise they're saying to disable UPnP and port forward manually according to the ports on the list which can be done.
rjaaayyy
i havent disabled teredo packages.. xbox is on energy saving, and last time i had upnp disabled, i had unavailable nat.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 15, 2021 Administrators Share Posted February 15, 2021 Did you port forward when you did that? You will need to do that otherwise it definitely won't be possible.
rjaaayyy
idk, i tried it again i disabled upnp and i think i port forwarded the right ports and linked them to the IP of the xbox. going to test tonight and see if problem happens again. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 17, 2021 Administrators Share Posted February 17, 2021 You already have an Open NAT so I don't think this will help at all but remove port 53, 80 & 88 from the rules please. Are the people you're trying to talk to all on the same platform or are some on a PC for example?
rjaaayyy
um sometimes with pc yes, but it hasnt mattered. i will remove those then.
