The paid ones do not limit your speed neither they will log your data but the free ones will cap your speed and only benefit thy provide is hide your IP. Think about it how can anyone provide you free service while bearing the cost of servers and everything?

Of course it is worth buying. Many people think that download free VPN they are completely anonymous on the Internet, but it is not. At least there is one more person who has your data: the owner of VPN. Your logs stay with him. Therefore, I advise you to buy VPN. For example I use Veepn. It cleans your logs.

It depends on what you will be using the VPN for, each one excels at different things. If you're a developer you should have something with logging and fast speeds, like ExpressVPN, but if you're using the VPN to torrent or do sketchier things, then you want a VPN with no logging, which means that if the FBI etc calls them they won't be able to lookup access points by time if they are forced to (and trace the logs back to you).

Free VPNs sells data and thats how they earn their money. Go for a paid one. Also, free ones are actually helpful. If you stream other region contents on Netflix, Disney Plus or Hulu it won't work for you.
