hey guys so ive noticed that when i connect my R1 with the Modem it SLOWS my speed down but when i TAKEOFF the Router and connect it straight to Modem everything starts reacting FASTER my ps4 and my Upload speed goes UP also which is RARE on a PS4? So what am i doing wrong that the R1 makes everything react slow and it slows my speed down for some reason and i even have it DMZ to the modem and everything the way it should be i hope can u please help me with this?

When i DMZ the Router to Modem which IP ADDRESS do i put there as the v4 Host?       The ps4 or the R1 WAN IP?

The R1 WAN IP is what should go in DMZ. Are you using a wired PC to test your speeds? Can you let us know what your speeds should be and what they are dropping to?

Try turning on both Turbo mode and super turbo mode and then test your speed. Also, the "speedtest" that can be done on the PS4 itself isn't very reliable.

well my isp suppose to be giving me 250 mps Down and 12 up but it normally gives me about 148 Down 12 up but then it drops real bad to like the 60's down and like 1 up why?

and i also have deep packet loss Unchecked with trubo mode on if thats not a problem

Are you using a wired PC to run the speed tests?

Re-enter your speeds in device manager and when it asks if you want to auto setup select yes. Do you get your full speeds then?

yea i am using wired pc to run test but how do i know which is the right speed that it gives me because sometimes it gives me good speed and sometimes it doesnt so how do i know?

Enter what speeds you should be getting from your ISP.

so what are the right Miscellaneous settings for this Dmz mode if theres any? or if i have over 100mps?

is the Geo filter Mandatory?

and do i have to have HYPER TRAFFIC on if i have it setup this way (Dmz)

when i do this what do i have to have Enable or disabled on the Xfinity Gateway ip? (Example) Upnp or any Port Forwarding have to be done also?

if i do then does it have to be done on both sides of the Modem/Router?

For miscellaneous you only need turbo for 100Mb+. Cookies isn't mandatory but it's nice to keep your geofilter tick boxes checked as you want them.

Hyper traffic again isn't mandatory but it's arguably one of the best features of the R1 so I always use it. It's useful regardless of how you have your network setup.

I'm not sure what you mean by enabling or disabling the gateway IP (I'm sure another Xfinity user here can advise) but enable ONLY DMZ on the modem for your R1 WAN IP, keeping UPnP enabled on the R1 only. Port forwarding isn't needed unless UPnP doesn't open the port you need for an open NAT in game. Never have UPnP or port forwarding enabled on two different devices simultaneously; just use DMZ on the modem and UPnP on the R1 :)

so when u have Turbo mode on is it necessary to have Deep Packet processing Enabled for Ps4? or is it just a Pc thing?

Deep packet is just for PC games mate. People with lower speeds can leave it on (just like IPv6) because it won't have any ill effects, but on your connection you should definitely turn it off to get your full bandwidth.

All you really need is the geofilter and congestion control to your liking, your correct speeds in the set bandwidth tab, and cookies enabled in miscellaneous. IPv6 should be off in WAN and LAN as well as in miscellaneous, unless you need it for some reason :)
