XR500.......

As a avid follower of this forum (sad, I know) I have been reading a lot about the XR500 being used with different routers.

I know people's networks are personalised, but is it really necessary to have another router given the XR's supposed capabilities?

With the Netduma, most of us probably have another router as an AP and just use the Netduma for gaming

If the XR can handle 5hz, and with all the bells and whistles it has is it necessary to use another router.

Question: Can the XR handle it all?.

look at the graphs and info, loads of spare capacity

Absolutely! The XR500’s hardware is seriously powerful.

Looks very impressive BD.

So to have another router as AP is purely personal preference

yes and to be honest totally unnecessary!

i had some issues with the router at first but finally got it sorted due to some misunderstandings regarding DPI implementation and traffic policies but that is all sorted now and it is running as sweet as a nut!

That's what I thought

! But there was quite a few topics on here about compatible routers etc :)

Yeah I saw your shout outs about your problems, glad you got it sorted :)

I don't reckon you need any other router alongside the XR500 - it's the equivalent of getting a Volkswagen to compliment your Bugatti. I mean, you -could- get a second car... But you have a Bugatti!

No reason I can think of since it's dual-band AC WiFi as well :)
