Zommy0420
Hello all! My name is Don, pretty new to the netduma software. Just recently bought the XR500 and so far the thing works great! I have a question though. when I’m making a whitelist and blacklist, Why is it only allowing me to add peer connection to this list and not dedicated servers? You aren't able to block dedicated servers with Allow & Deny. If you want to avoid specific servers you can move your geofilter home location to a different bank of servers. To force a server in a different location: Move your home location on the geofilter Make sure strict mode is enabled Disable the geofilter Fully shut down then reboot your console Launch the game Enable geofilter Search for a game When forcing a server in a different location search times can sometimes take quite a while so you may have to wait to find a game. Administrators Netduma Admin Posted February 17, 2018 Administrators Share Posted February 17, 2018 Hello all! My name is Don, pretty new to the netduma software. Just recently bought the XR500 and so far the thing works great! I have a question though. when I’m making a whitelist and blacklist, Why is it only allowing me to add peer connection to this list and not dedicated servers? Hi Don - thanks for being one of the first XR500 users and welcome to the forum! We currently have not implemented that feature due to concerns that users might permanently block servers, preventing them from getting games. However, we have had feedback that most users would like this feature enabled so it will be part of a future firmware release, potentially in the next two. You can still block a server though by enabling your Geo-Filter and setting your home and radius to a location that does not cover the server you are trying to avoid. Please also make sure you have enabled strict mode in your Geo-Filter advanced settings. Thanks
Zommy0420
I guess that makes sense. Any chance making duma OS a mobile app?

Yes, there are plans to launch mobile support in the near future. Out of curiosity, which features would you most like to see on mobile?

Out of curiosity, which features would you most like to see on mobile? If there is going to be a mobile app just being able to quickly set the basics would be good. Turn QoS on/off, bufferbloat, congestion sliders, ping assist. A screen to show performance during a game would be good, ping, jitter, peer ping. Zommy0420
Honestly, would love just be able to access the Netduma OS from like my phone or tablet. I mostly play consol games, so having the computer beside me to enable and disable the Geofilter could be a pain for some. I think if you made an app similar to Netgear genie, where you had access to the GUI that would just be awesome.. probably more moving parts Neville’s to make that work though. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 18, 2018 Administrators Share Posted February 18, 2018 You can access it now and possibly be able to change the settings you want but really wouldn't recommend it. We are working on a mobile app that is very cool and will allow you to do the main features.

For playing CoD on PS4, I'm in Atlanta and there is a dedicated server near me that is great (~15 ms ping). However, there is another dedicated server in Indiana that I connect to sometimes, which is ~575 miles away. My ping is absolutely horrible when I connect to it (around ~100 ms). I would love to be able to block this dedicated server without having to further minimize my Geo-Filter, which would make it harder to find games. Being able to modify the Geo-Filter, i.e. toggle between filtering/spectating mode and being able to tweak the Geo-Filter radius. Being able to allow/block certain connections would also be nice. If you include the Atlanta server in your radius then you shouldn't experience any longer waiting times and you would consistently get that really good server. The Atlanta server is definitely in my radius as I have my Geo-Filter centered on my current location. So not sure why I'm getting the Indiana server over the Atlanta server. Ok, which is why I would love to block the Indiana one, which is horrible for whatever reason. I used to have my Geo-Filter radius small enough so that the Indiana server was excluded, but was having trouble finding games. So I had to expand it a little bit. We'll likely be implementing this as Admin said so we'll let you know once that's available.
