Router Software Issue

Hello Support Team

I have been having a lot of issues lately with the software on my R1. I will list below some of the issues that are reoccurring

* When selecting features it doesnt add them

*When selecting features is says it has added them and doesn't show - I have enabled cookies

*When selecting devices on VPN is says failed to enable device

*When changing the congestion control nothing happens, speed stays the same

*Device manager it shows devices still connected and wont let me delete - I have disconnected all devices, turn router off for 1 min and then turn the other device on again and still wont fix.

*internet connection has DNS server issues randomly - My fix was to input my ISP DNS settings in the router and this stopped being an issue.

Overall the only way to fix these issues is to re flash the firmware and not preserve the settings. I have to do this a least once a week to fortnight. Its really starting to get frustrating and I am hoping you have a fix.

Thanks for your time.

Good Morning

Have you done a factory reset?

Press with a pin into the small hole next to where the light adapter connects, Wait for you with the pulsed around 25 to 30 seconds until I heard a beep.

I hope it will help you and your problem will be solved.

Hi Titofuenla

Yes I have and have done the upgrade firmware to the same 1.03.6g firmware without preserving settings. The issue is I have to do it so often is becoming a nuisance.

Preserve settings should be ticked when flashing firmware, see Fraser notes in the upgrade thread.

I would re-flash the firmware again making sure you tick preserve settings and see if that solves your issue.

The last time I had this issue the only way to fix it was to unselect preserve setting as advised by Fraser. This was about a year or so now. This time the fix doesnt last long at all.

Ah ok, probably best wait for Fraser or Jack to advise you further then.

Hi Azleb - have you tried using another device to access the UI? Does the issue continue there?

Ok, thank you. I think the best step would be to arrange a 1-1 with Fraser. Which timezone are you in and what times are easiest for you?

Hi again

Ok that sounds good, my time zone is Australian Central Time Zone UTC+09:30.

Hi Fraser

If 8am is free I would prefer that actually however if not then 730 is a go ahead. You let me know what option works best for you and lock it in.

Thanks mate
