Im having this issue also.I tryed suggestions, faq knowledgebase and now im here. Im considering a refund because this is the exact issue that led me to buying the router. My ps4 is wired in no drops in connectivity. But wireless is spotty. IDs it possible the issue is my isp hub? If so how can i fix it? Its annoying being tethered down to the router just so I can reset it. Please advise.

Hi Karson, welcome to the forum! So just to clarify, have you tried all the steps in this guide: http://support.netduma.com/support/solutions/articles/16000022405-why-does-the-netduma-wifi-keep-dropping-out-

If you try a less congested channel, does this resolve the issue? Do the drop outs happen at particular times of day? Which modem and service do you have?

Hi! Yes I did try everything on that guide. So far I have not had a drop out yet. My isp is spectrum my modem is an arris. My next step if it does dropout again will be to rearrange furniture. After scanning my area im starting to think it might be interferance from neighbors devices. Btw I appreciate your response. Its far beyond talking to an operator whos only going off a rehearsed checklist.

Thanks Karson! It sounds like you've got a plan for if your WiFi drops out again, but hopefully it won't come to that! If it does drop out there may still be options we can take, so do let us know how it goes.

If your WiFi doesn't ever drop again, don't be afraid to post another thread if you have any more questions or issues. We're happy to help out :D

Welp fellas it was good while it lasted. But again my wireless dropped out but my wired console was still running smooth. What's the next step kind sir?

Alright lets see if we can find the cause. First off, have you tried all of the channels available to you? I would recommend giving a channel analyser another go. Check out this article on the topic: https://www.howtogeek.com/197268/how-to-find-the-best-wi-fi-channel-for-your-router-on-any-operating-system/

Are there any wireless devices near your router at all? I know you said you'd rearrange things if your WiFi dropped out again. Even a Microwave can affect WiFi signal, so definitely check nothing in the area could be causing interference.

Does this happen across all wireless devices, or just some? Is there a pattern (i.e time of day, particular type of device dropping out?) Have you got WiFi disabled on your Modem?

Yes I changed my channel to the best one (11) its near my desktop (wirelessly connected to internet but it's always off. Yes every wireless device gets disconnected. As for modem im not sure because I don't know how to interface with it.

Have you tried factory resetting from Settings > MIscellaneous? Do these drop-outs occur on wireless devices when they are connected to the Modem?

Try a hard reset (turn off the modem and Netduma. Wait 5 minutes before turning the modem on. Wait another minute then turn on the Netduma).

You should give these settings a go if that doesn't work out:

- Set a static IP for the Duma on your ISP hub
- Set ALL devices on the Duma with a static IP in DHCP lease
- Make sure all those IPs fall within the DHCP range aka .100-.250
- Disable stealth mode in misc settings
- Also try turbo mode off and preemptive algorithm

How do I interdace with the modem? It does not have a wireless connection. My previous wireless router had the opposite issue: wired connection would drop but wireless would stay on, now my wired connection stays on but my wireless drops. Should i connect the previous router to my netduma and use that for wireless and keep netduma on wired only? I hope not.

That’s a backup option, but what do you mean exactly by drops? Do you mean the WiFi drops out occasionally? If so, try changing the channel in >Settings >WiFi as it may be other wireless devices interefering it. Channels 1 or 11 are usually good.

Yes. I thought it was a bad router, but now i have a new router but same issue.

It sounds like you may have a wider issue to do with your ISP. I would connect directly to your modem and use PingPlotter to test the connection http://forum.netduma.com/topic/23881-ping-plotter-quick-guidethen you can see if it starts to drop & then call up your ISP with evidence.
