looking for some expert eyes on this

I did a line test on dsl reports any i was wondering if anyone could tell me if these are bad results for gaming.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               I have 200/10 I use the tp link 7610 as my Modem and the R1 as my Router.

Your ping isn't great for gaming (according to DSLreports). But testing with DSLreports is very unreliable. You would be best downloading pingplotter and directly testing your line. Use twitter as your address to diabnose.  Run the test for about 30 mins and post in this thread. Are you in the U.S because if not then the dslreports results you posted are worthless.

The ping is stable, I would rather have a higher stable ping than say a 20ms ping with 30 jitter or worse like I see from other gamer's.

 

Ping compensation will even things out online, you would struggle if you had jitter, so you are all good.

Totally agree, higher stable ping is far better than low jittery ping. My base ping is 40ms but it’s very stable.

 

@Zennon, my exchange is finally getting upgraded to ADSL2+! I should get around 17Mbps according to BT Wholesale and hopefully have FTTC within 4 months :)
